Hey all,

FYI I'm posting this after reading countless forums & watching countless YT vids but I can't seem to get it right...

When I use my Blue Yeti mic on OBS (gain is super low and volume on mic in preferences is at 70-80% and volume on OBS on mic is all the way up) I get this annoying long beep/buzz sound in the background and it won't go away! I'm afraid everyone will find it annoying.

Do you have any idea why its happening and/or a thread or video that deals with this issue?

Thanks!

Hey! So I actually had the mic on my desk then moved it into a tripod (I don't have a boom stand but I'll try to get one but is it not the same idea?) and I still hear the very very faint high pitched buzzing... I'm using a MAC laptop. What do you mean run off battery? Right now I have it in a USB port and also tried connecting it directly into my computer... so its the same noise whether on my desk or in the tripod.

Can you share what are ideal settings? May also just be that my settings aren't exactly right. Thanks :h:

Is any part of the USB cord is laying across another cord, or even touching?

Yeah, if your microphone cable is close to a power cable, that alone can cause your buzz. This seems to be a common problem. If you search "Blue Yeti buzzing fix" you'll find a whole bunch of ways people have tried to address this issue, and not everything works for everyone.
