I enjoy it. Going out there with a plan and dodging the crowds for some crazy sales. I'm the guy that the stores don't like. They don't make money on those sale items. Those are loss-leaders. They make money on the other crap that people buy. Most people decide they're going there for X items, then buy other things out on display that are not any special price. That's why most stores have very limited quantities of their doorbusters. So what I do is mark up the sales papers for what I want, plan out the order of the trip, and hit the stores at a reasonable time. I save time and only buy those things that are priced lower than I would ever find them. Unfortunately for online sales, they tend to not be priced at the level to be considered loss-leaders. They are decent sales, but since they don't have the same results for offering items at a loss, you are unlikely to find the ridiculous prices you'd find at the brick and mortar.

Im in it for the thrill of the hunt moment haha..nothing like hanging with a group of strangers in line just chatting making friends, (especially fun if youre ^ on strains such as alaskan thunderfuck or jilly bean <_<) soon as the door opens boom! everyone is out for themselves this guy wants an ipad, this girl clothes etc ...

headed straight for the TVs later after some turkey and football games......wish me luck :-D

Being Aussie I never really knew about this tradition you guys have (though we have similar, not as brutal, things here on various days - day after christmas being the biggest), or the horribly lamely named "Cyber Monday"

A lot of countries have a version of Black Friday, but different times. Some have them on/around Boxing Day. We have Black Friday, then more recently it's followed by Small Business Saturday (encouraging people to shop at the small local stores instead of the big box stores) and Cyber Monday (which is supposedly supposed to be a lot better this year despite sucking previous years).

I'm just glad not to be working retail anymore. You don't know Hell until you've worked at Hot Topic on Black Friday.

I'd rather skip Black Friday and keep my dignity.

But don't let the disgustingness of Black Friday ruin the holidays! :(

I can't be the only one who still loves Christmas? It's such a pretty and magical time. (and I don't just like it cause i get stuff, my family has always been poor and I've enver gotten super spoiled around the holidays)

I agree. Black Friday is NOT a good symbol for Christmastime. To me, they are not linked. I use Black Friday to shop for ME. :) (It's usually the one time in the year I can splurge a bit and come out ahead.) Christmas is kept separate and pleasant, because it should be about being with family. :D

I don't care for Black Friday but I got lucky this year. After I got home from spending the day with my family I decided to look at some WOW stuff for roomie to surprise him and found a few other online sales. :) Got a secret santa taken care of, 2 presents for family members and a small goodie bag for myself all for under $40. Wasn't planning on it and it was less than I was planning on spending anyways. Now if only someone could assist with me how to gift a re-subscription for a WOW account. :) Then I'd be good to go.

Also, I could see a HUGE line outside of Best Buy from the interstate on my way home. That's probably 300+ people if I can see the line from the stinking interstate.  :?

i got mostly what i wanted out of Best Buy and Black Friday tonight... im ticked that they ran out of 42 inch hdtvs for 200 bucks ...so i went with the more economical 24 inch hdtv for 80 bucks.. also bought a digital camera, some hdmi cables and a 20 foot long internet cord

anyways waiting in line with the crowd was ok, the wild 94.9 radio station set up a booth and was giving away prizes ...i won a pair of tickets to an advanced screening of Jonah Hills new movie "The Sitter" which was pretty awesome

I got in line at 10:30pm and the tickets for the $200 hdtv was sold out. Then a guy came up to me and asked me if I wanted to buy his ticket for the TV for $80. I only had $57 on me and he took it. So I got the TV and TOTALLY lucked out!!! WAY worth it!!

Yeah, you should've had autographed 8x10s ready to hand out to trade for spots in lines. Sure there are a lot of pretty women in the world, but how many of them can call themselves Playboy models? Use that to your advantage. ;)

Canada already has their version of Black Friday except that it falls on the day after Christmas called Boxing Day. Recently retailers have expanded their sales to last the entire week, so they're called Boxing Week sales instead of Boxing Day. Most stores will refuse Christmas Day returns on Boxing Day due to all of the sales.

For the past few days I have seen some flyers around town advertising Black Friday in Canada in an effort to keep shoppers from going across the border. It's a nice strategy, but does Canada really need two crazy shopping days one month apart?

Smart girl! Snow tires are a necessity in colder climates, to the point where the province of Quebec passed a law stating that four snow tires are mandatory for winter driving. In fact, I've heard that they're more beneficial in cold temps even when the roads are free of snow because of the rubber composition. Apparently when the average temp drops below 5'C/41'F, that's when you're supposed to put your snow tires on. Another bit of advice is to get them mounted on their own rims, that way you can swap them yourself in your driveway or save a lot of money if you pay your mechanic to do it for you. When I did the swap for my Mom's car a few weeks ago, the shop asked me if the tires were purchased there. "Snow tires were yes" "are they on their own rims?" "Yup." "Ok, no charge for the swap." Sweeeeeeeet.

If anyone finds any awesome deals on luggage online please let me know. I've found a few and am picking and chosing but would like more if you have them.

I'm looking for: A hard case (or VERY well padded) large suitcase, another one that will fit inside it, and then a carry on piece. I can go without the carry on if necessary as I have an old beat up one. Pretty color options so I can find them amongst the masses of black luggage would be awesome.

Oh and wheels. 4 wheels if possible on the largest one!

I need them to be able to be here by dec 5th.

if you gotta sit outside in the cold all night to save $100 or so on a cpl gifts... i say you need to get a better job

off-duty officers hired as store security guards for the event discharged pepper spray to restore order, Johnson said..."No one was pepper sprayed in the face," Johnson said, adding that he was unaware of any injuries.
Where did they discharge the pepper spray then? I thought it only really works on the face...

I was planning on going to Walmart around midnight to try and pick up Arkham City for $28, but wound up getting it from Amazon for the same price without having to leave my house.

Nope! Pepper spray is a chemical agent and will burn the skin. Really nasty if you have any cuts. It's basically the active ingredient in hot spicy food. And if you've ever ate something really hot, you know it irritates the skin and lips.

Having BEEN pepper sprayed I can tell you its ALL OVER and its utterly miserable. Avoid being pepper sprayed if you can at all help it.

However 6 hours later, after the burning had subsided and I was not feeling it anymore, I masturbated only to find that NOT ALL the residue was off my fingers though I'd washed and washed and washed. It was not enough to feel through the thicker skin on my fingers but boy did i feel it when it hit my g-spot....

have since repeated the experiment with hotsauce on my clit and was sent flying into subspace.... :)

JerMajesty, I've been hitting up VS with my rewards cards like crazy this last week. :) They've got some pretty good deals on their clearance right now and the sales online are better than in store.
