Google is currently full of obs malware sites being promoted through google ads.

If you need to download obs or are telling someone how to set it up, make sure you/they are going to the correct domain (https://obsproject.com/download) to download it and not one of the promoted links on google.
Here is the correct link to OBS Studio if anyone needs it:

What baffles me about Google's subsidiary Youtube is that they still allow ads from sponsors that have been called out as scammers years ago (ironically verifiable via both Google and YT), and who typically spruik "get rich quick" schemes that only the naive or desperate would not be able to see through.

@vivo They make money off the campaigns that they put on Google and YouTube, so why would they make them stop? It's a win for them as these scammers are pumping money in order to have their scams "promoted"...

They do have guidelines on what you can and cant promote, but ad reviews are an automated process so as long as you dont trigger a manual review a lot goes unnoticed. When they get reports from the ads they ban the ad accounts but then they just make / buy a new one and start over.

That's true, and it's sad that they can't ban them forever from making new accounts...
