No prob! Lol, if you read on here more, that was a SHORT reply for me, haha...
I don't know how new your are to camming, but don't take it personally, and consider it a long game. I don't know if you said specifically that you're on CB, but if so, that is mostly about personality. Showing up regularly and as frequently as you can manage (but most importantly at consistent times if you can) allows you to build a following. You can do so on CB totally non-nude, and not even being super sexual. It's about finding what works for you. But if you talk more, and show more of your personality (or a fake personality if you prefer, as long as it seem genuine and is sustainable for you), you will eventually build more people in your room. Use hashtags a lot, which draws people in the room. Be sure to be entertaining as much as possible, again even if it's just to talk. Show good views from time to time so there are people drawn into the room by the freeze frame that shows on the main pages. That could be cleavage, or a best feature (a lot of guys are into belly if you have one), feet... or not a body part but simply you doing something interesting that other girls are not doing. Typically, the more unique you are, the less you will be directly competing with other rooms for customers. Watch the other rooms to do some research into what type of show you like, what others do. There is a very wide variety on CB, which is one of the things I really like there despite their many drawbacks. You can simply tease or do burlesque, or show off some non-sexual talent, or even debate or lecture on a subject... it's amazing what will draw people in and that they will pay money for. Get familiar with what the site's customers are like, what they are looking for. Most who view cams are not simply looking for a wank - they are lonely, bored, unhappy in their lives. If you can cheer them up emotionally, be entertaining, be interesting, be a real person who is someone they feel like they can talk to in privates or paid PMs... that is the kind of person who makes a lot of money and typically has staying power. It takes TIME to build the clientele though. If on CB, make SURE to remind them frequently to follow you, and then send a notification out to your followers every time you're on. The more you can make it fun to watch, the more will come back regularly. Play games using the apps on the site, etc, to keep the room busy. Use goals.
Above all, be CONFIDENT. YOU are awesome. It is only a matter of time before others figure it out. Those who are not into you - eh, it is their loss. If anything, that just makes your regulars feel more special, that they are part of an elite crew. Guys do LOVE to have their ego stroked... (as long as it comes across as genuine.)
It's fine of course to do the all-naked stuff. But, generally the women who do all that in the public sphere, get plenty of viewers but not as many regulars, and are way underpaid. Guys like a challenge, and for you to build the mystique. Generally pays better to only offer that stuff in privates, or only when you meet a goal, and just put on a good show in the public space in the meantime so people want to stay in the room. Plus, doing penetrations shows all the time can get tiresome, and cause eventual wear and tear on the um... equipment.
Customers will tend to expect it all the time if you let them think that's all you are.
I keep careful notes of each of my sessions in a spreadsheet, so I can keep track of what I did, how many people were there, what they said, what I made... so I know what is working, and what is not. And what makes me have fun, and what doesn't.
For me personally, I make ample use of the ability on CB to ban people who I think are bringing my room down (ban immediately anyone who tries to fake tip - and someone else here said if you report their user ID to Chaturbate they'll get kicked off), and to block words I don't like them to use. This avoids conversations that I find unpleasant, and for me this list is pretty long. I ban most words that are disrespectful of women, racial slurs, and words that customers use to get information that is none of their business or that they should be asking only in paid form rather than in the open free chat.
Be aware that on CB, number of people in your room is directly in proportion to number of people in other rooms. Take a look at what times you're on, and your direct competition. Sometimes certain shows are hugely popular, and there is too much draw to be in that room so no one looking around for a room like yours. Or, you might be on at a slower time, but going up against someone with similar body type/features to yours. If you do something interesting in the screen shot, and are consistent, you'll likely get more people in no time. Note also that you can, when first starting out, do some flashes or touch yourself for free, just to get things going in the room - but just do it once in a while and stop when you have more people in the room, so it's just an occasional thing they get excited and wait around for. Then get the peoplle in their busy trying to reach a goal and/or play a game. You rarely have to go all out and do a whole free cum show or whatever just to get people in there. Usually, that is just selling yourself short. Have patience.... regulars take time and work to build. They love when you remember them from one day to the next, and say something relevant to make them feel important. Again, this is where the notes I take during sessions really helps, so I know the names of my higher tippers from the previous days and something they said about their interests or whatever is going on in their lives. They love when you call them out by name. (I only do that sometimes though, because I am not there to stroke men's egos 24/7, it annoys the shit out of me - I only do it for people I like, no matter what they pay me. That's a personal choice that's not really about what's best for business, and it does make some assholes mad. But if I wanted to kowtow every day to an asshole just for the pay, I could be working a regular job.) And for some reason, I find that more guys enter my room when I look busy and am typing, than when I'm paying attention to them! CB is weird...
Sorry, OP, did not try to derail your thread, but I thought these things might come in handy for you too, since you're new to CB!
