Hi,

I've seen many posts pointing out that many people have been tricked with fake tokens.

I created a bot to help reveal this easily.

Search for "Anti Fake Tokens" in the chaturbate bots list.

Hoping to help you

Wut. It's really easy to see when tips are fake though, you don't get an alert noise and it's either a photo (which can be reported) or the guy is a moron who thinks he can just type it in chat and have it be so. It might trick a baby model once or twice if they didn't do their research but most people already know better.

This app really isn't needed, and it wouldn't be able to detect the fake tips set up as emotes anyway. This seems shady....

The purpose of this bot is to highlight in red the fake tokens that are sent as emoticons. The fact that it is highlighted in red tells the broadcaster and the user that it is a fake (although, as you say, they can figure it out for themselves. The goal is to discourage someone from sending you these tokens by highlighting them in red and to show that they are easily detectable. We can't prevent users from sending them, but we can try to make sure that there are fewer of them.

And I don't see how it looks suspicious, when I see one I add it to the list of tokens to put forward, I don't see where it looks suspicious?

The goal is really to help beginners who don't know about this stuff.
Because if you don't get fooled or more, I see people still getting fooled on this, (and giving a performance on a fake token). So maybe the app is useless to you, but at least I tried it. Also, it's not nice to degrade the work of people who are trying to do something. I don't care if you think it's useless, but saying it's shady when you haven't even bothered to try it or understand how it works is a shame.

And don't be fooled, this bot is well able to detect the fake tokens that are listed there

The problem with this bot is the fact that THOSE WHO NEED it don't know it exists and don't know they can/should look for it. By the time they look and see something like this, it's too late because they already know how to avoid fake tips/tokens, so it's a bit of a catch 22 really. I like the idea though.

1 suggestion I would make is by default when a model launches the app, have it so it SHOWS the message to the PUBLIC that this person tried to scam/exploit with fake tokens. Shame the morons who do it. I saw on the bot that the default setting is that everything seems to be set to "no", so turn it all on by default. Let the entire room know this person (grey or colour) has tried to exploit the model.

When I see a fake token image, I click the image, then I click "REPORT EMOTICON", and then I click "Fake tip". Probably it gets uploaded again. And when I see it again, I report it again.

Ultimately, Chaturbate would need some intelligent image inspection. And it won’t need much intelligence. They can just use ImageMagick to create a histogramm of the image, and if it is mostly yellow with a bit of black and much wider than high, cancel it.

Their developers really do some work, most of it even useful. Chaturbate catches most of the spam now, maybe 98%. They do that fairly well. Maybe one day they even catch the fake token images. It would be really easy.

Indeed, that's the worry, that the models don't know it early enough. I really couldn't avoid that someone gets fooled on this. However, I do see some "newbies" who have managed to find it.
The goal is really to dissuade, and expose the bad tippers to put them to shame.

Indeed I had put the function to send back a sentence on "no", because I didn't want to impose it and leave the freedom to the model to put it or not.
I'll set it to "yes" by default then and see what happens.

I realized that reporting fake tips doesn't change much because as you said it is reloaded afterwards. That's why I'm trying to come up with another solution, through deterrence. I haven't found any other solution for the moment.

Even if Chaturbate deletes the "fake tip" and it is reloaded afterwards, the bot will recognize it.

Unfortunately at the moment it can only be added by those I have seen myself.

Your solution sounds good. However, Chaturbate does not allow developers to deploy such intelligence in their applications and bots. They do not allow importing libraries. At least not to my knowledge. They should develop it themselves, but they haven't done so yet.

Yes, Chaturbate should check new images. It is quite easy for them.

How does your bot recognize an image after it has been uploaded again, except if it has the same name? From the apps+bots API, it seems to me that bots don’t get any information about emoticons at all, and their only information is the message written by the users, in which they can scan for anything that might be the name of an emoticon.

solution, keep your token/earning page open in another tab. after someone tips, refresh that page everytime to see if the number increased. takes less than 3 secs.

bada bing bada boom

Again, the goal is more to shame the bad tippers than to not get caught, and to try to reduce that pollution in the room discussions. So, rather than making them annoying and having other users yell at this scammer, and try to warn the model at all costs that it's a fake tip, I think it's more fun to see him get caught directly. Maybe he'll also avoid sending them again.

For an undisturbed work flow, it is best if the fake tip is completely invisible. That way, nothing distracts from the broadcaster.

Thus if your bot finds a message and message.m contains an emoticon known to be a fake tip, the bot can simply set message["X-Spam"]=true, and then the message will be visible only for the bad guy who tried to use the fake tip. If in addition you want him to feel bad, you can modify that message, that is, the text, the color and the background.

If you want to have some fun, you might even add a way to talk to the bad guy through private Notices. One of my apps catched people who pretend thy rolled dice by copying a typical notice. That attempt and anything else the culprit writes will be invisible except for him and me, and if he is dim enough to fall for anonymous notices, that can lead to funny dialogs, visible only for me and for him, while he does not even know his messages are hidden, nor he is talking to me.

For example, one such hidden dialog looked like this to me:
Notice: 🚫 piffyroli: Notice: :reddie6 :reddie1 Notice: piffyroli rolled a 7! Notice: Roll #1 | Prize: flash boobs
Notice: 🚫 piffyroli: my prize'
schruti ! @piffyroli Sorry, what is your price?
Notice: 🚫 piffyroli: flash boobs
schruti ! @piffyroli ah! Yes, just wait for the goal. You can tip it!
Notice: 🚫 piffyroli: i rolled the dice .-.
schruti ! @piffyroli Oh, that is very nice of you! I love dice!
Notice: 🚫 piffyroli: i rolled the dice and my prize is flash boobs, so please, show boobs
schruti ! @piffyroli You rolled dice? You are so sweet! This is all new for me!

Pity he gave up then, I started to like him. Anyway, you see that you can talk to him a lot, or even program your bot to perform some simple dialogs. For the model and the other viewers, nothing of that should be visible. Nothing should distract from the broadcaster‘s business.

Solution: model learns how to control/handle their room independently and the audience learns how to behave or face consequences when in that model's room.

Someone sending fake tips is more than likely never going to tip or care they are being a nuance. They are the equivalent of spam callers who want to extend your car's warranty. Try enough and eventually, they will get someone to fall for their scheme.

Deal with them the same way- block/report and go on with your merry life.

I simply propose a different solution, I don't force anyone to use it and I even suggest you not to use it if this bot doesn't suit you and your solution seems better.

Of course I block them and report too. By the way I wanted the bot to ban bad tippers directly, so that I wouldn't have to deal with them anymore, but there is no such possibility. So I made it like that.

But besides banning it, I personally prefer that it realizes that it has been caught. Maybe he'll think it's useless to try somewhere else.

If you add a big message poping out with TRY AGAIN SUCKER everytime he posts a fake tip to automaticly apear i swear i will use it hahahha!

I have an prick ass that make multiple accounts and come and post fake tips in my room once in a while haha. I will laugh my butt off if TRY AGAIN SUCKER will apear big glittery and highlighted every time he trys :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: But please no hiden haha , i want all to see it :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:

Or maybe add an optional setting in the bot where the model can customize her own message for the nasty ass member lol . but to automaticcly apear big glittery and highlighted hahahha and of course with his nickname too :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious: :hilarious:

I think this could end up sucking for two reasons. The first is that AI is really stupid, so it would also flag a ton of images that aren't fake tips and possibly fuck with a lot of setups. The second reason is it's potentially a slippery slope from image detection to copyright detection, which would then have Chaturbate nannying what emotes we can and can't use.

Also, I have never seen a fake tip image, ever, not once, in the entire time I cammed on CB. I have a feeling this problem is not as prevalent as it once was and that the rate of reporting them is extremely high. Even if a model is too new to know better someone in their chat will probably notice.

In this bot, here is what is customizable: when someone sends you a fake token, you can highlight the image in red ou not . then you have the choice: You can simply do nothing more, otherwise you can also send a sentence mentioning or not the one who sent it to you, in public or not. There is a default sentence but you can personalize it as you wish

maybe im old fashioned but i personally love to say this when a member tries to fake a tip or freeloads-

"if you don't want to tip me, that's quite alright, but if you want something from me you need to tip me. if you have no intentions of spending money try googling boobs instead"

i was raised catholic, so i know how to lay on the guilt/shame thick. also usually works to get others tipping as well.

It is possible, you can customize the sentence returned and go up to 255 characters
