In the past there was one model who use to cam on mfc but she made her own site. So she cut back coming on to just do a show now and then. Mostly to keep people interested and drum up new members for her site. Another model I know whenever she's on cam has her webpage plastered in huge letters across the screen. Basically camming once in a while as advertising.

But tonight I ran across a model who signed on just to let all the people showing up in her room to not bother, she wouldn't be doing a show. But she is also streaming right now from her own personal site where anyone can become a member for only $9.99 a month. So come on over there to see the show! Then she logged off about 10 minutes later.

I recognize many models have their own site and do some forms of advertising for it while they're on cam, but this seemed to just cross the line somehow. She didn't do a show, wasn't there to get any money for mfc, just using them to take paying customers away from the site to get them to pay her directly on hers. I know mfc has that rule where models are not allowed to ask for, or receive, payment outside of the website.

Do you think this went too far, would you be okay doing this same thing if you had your own site you could stream from? I kind of think if I was mfc I'd be sending out a warning to not do that again. If you're just using my resources to redirect any income away from me I'd put a stop to it immediately.

One of the great things about MFC is that it allows models to be open about activities outside MFC.

The advertising above has a limited time effect as no tipping results in a lower camscore. Nothing needs to be done, everyone is happy.

She should be removed from mfc in my opinion.

To me that seems counter productive. I wonder how any people did pay to see her elsewhere.

From a very small sample size, what I've seen it wasn't helpful. In the cases I've seen, they were less drastic - they would do teasing/nudity on MFC, but would advertise that only on their site they would go further. That lasted about a month before they stopped with that differentiation, which clearly suggests the drop in income on MFC wasn't offset by income from their site.

Back when I still did one show a week on my site I would do this. It was technically my off day for MFC but I started logging on and doing an hour or two of dancing and stripping, with goals of course and then taking it to my site for the X-rated part. This allowed me to still make money on MFC and also advertise to a much larger room count than If I just logged on to hang out a little bit. In the long run it honestly just helped me realize that only maybe 2% of my total member count on my site actually gave two shits about the member shows and they would rather just stay in the comfort of MFC's platform, so I nixed member shows after a little over a year.

I figured I'm probably one of the few models that can tell you exactly what happened to them with the above scenario so... haha sorry for the unnecessary share. I did get a few new members a night sign up but... maybe only one or two more than I normally do by just being on cam. I'm live on cam alllllll the time and it took me a while to learn that as a very active camgirl, the videos are the draw to my site because those are not the same thing they see every single day on MFC already. Weekly member shows was a staple created by the pornstar world where seeing the girl live was rare and special.

Blah blah blah
