Edit: If it's something that will allegedly affect the whole world, then this means that they are probably referencing a solar flare. Considering that the sun is currently not in its maximum, it would be pretty impressive for it to have such a flare that would cause that amount of damage for 2 weeks (interesting timeline, btw). Additionally, sunspots are always shifting and changing and it is currently impossible (with our current human scientific knowledge) to accurately predict what a sunspot is going to do and what the subsequent flare (if it has one) is going to look like and do. Especially 2 months away! Scientists can get close with their predictions of this, but usually within a few days to a week.
