Well on the physical level, my standards aren't as difficult to meet. A woman within 10 years of my age (I'm only 20) with fair skin and a smile to die for, with a shapely body but not a fat one.

So that would mean up to 30 years old and as young as ... holy crap. On second thought. Stick to guys.

And I get you about the above average intelligence thing. At least mine's only just above genius level But I don't think I've ever gone for anyone with intelligence lower than mine.

My required intelligence level measurement is best described as "must be able to have a conversation with the woman without my brain starting to hurt" which I don't think is really all that much to ask. It also sets a level for both grasp and openness to using something that at least resembles proper English to communicate.

133, but I go for a few points above (Actually, I don't know for sure. that's just a guess, about the men's intelligence)

HOWEVER, this is just a trend... there are other things to them than their intelligence that attracts me. Usually the ones with the hidden intelligence, where they learned to act dumber than they are to attract less attention.

Basically, if he's not intelligent enough, how the hell can he comprehend me, when even *I* can't comprehend me? And if he can't at least come close to understanding how I work, how the hell can he try to control me? I am submissive. So, another requirement, is someone capable and willing to control me. I get with manipulative bastards x.x

Acting dumb is sometimes a blessing, it can make life so much simpler. As far as being submissive, I don't know if I could ever get in to that, that kind of thing just seems like it'd piss me off a lot.

Some smart guys aren't so much with the reading comprehension, I see. It's easy to be blinded by intelligence to the point that it seems to be the only thing that matters, especially if it is the one trait we prize in ourselves above all others. I didn't say that intelligence doesn't matter to me, or that I prefer dumb women. It does, and I don't. A close reading will reveal that I didn't say that appearance doesn't matter to me, either. WTF would I hang out at MFC for if I didn't enjoy looking at hotties?

What I said was that to select a mate based on intellectual ability is almost as superficial as selecting one based on appearance. Intelligence and beauty are gifts, and very nice ones, too. In the long run, though, it is best to select a mate based on his or her character, and it is more profitable to focus on one's own character than one's intellect or appearance. We may come to regret hooking up with a smart person or a beautiful person, and there are many smart and/or comely assholes in the world, but we will never regret hooking up with a good person.
