Hey all. There's a thread in the Model's Only section regarding Chaturbate. However, I know it's not a site limited to female models. So I was gonna see if the greater wide world of ACF would like to offer insight and opinions as to this particular camsite.

Now I've not been camming long. I started on MFC, did SM for a bit, and dabbled with C4S and ELM. I primarily just hang out on CB now, mostly because my other half Rooster really wanted to cam with me. So, we make a fair amount together, and we are combined able to reach a daily goal in a reasonable amount of time. Our primary income so far is camming, even though we have other jobs.

So, my questions for you guys, models and members alike:

What is your favorite app? Why?
How do you generally structure your shows?
Do you perform in public? If not, how far do you go in public?
Models: What are your rules, regarding PM privilges, Mod privileges, etc?
If CB is the main site you cam on, why do you prefer it over other sites?

You bet! Private shows are tricky. Going into 'private mode' while your room is busy is generally a bad idea - you will lose veiwers and thereby drop in the 'ranks' (being on the front page of CB is truly invaluable, as users most often only browse the first page - the algorithm for ranking on CB is determined using three factors to my understanding: amount of viewers, amount of tips, and diversity of said tips (how many different users are tipping)). Suppose you have 1,000+ guys in your room - your show is primed for whatever public performance/goals you want to provide. If you go into private, a few of those guys use the 'spy feature', maybe one-third of them wait for you, but the rest move on and find another model. You return to find your room now has 300 guys. :/

So what do you do? I always reserve privates for slow days. I even turn off the 'request private' option or add that I am not accepting privates at the moment to my notifier (another useful bot) when busy. Contrarily, when it is slow, I advertise that I am doing privates. 'Slow' for me means either my room has less veiwers than is normal or otherwise tips are dead.

Try scheduling your 'privates' if someone requests one if you have a lot of veiwers to take care of. A lot of guys who want to private with you really like you (most pvt requests come from fans) and will wait until you 'sign off' or for a different day you have devoted to private chats.

Ultimately, private chats are about opportunity cost (an old economics term essentially meaning "the loss of potential gain from other alternatives when one alternative is chosen.") Which will be the better opportunity for income, exposure, and gaining followers? As you become more popular and accumulate repeat fans/followers, you can afford to do privates more often than when you are new. At least, this is applicable to most models. I will say that if you are making less tokens in public than you would in private chat, and you have multiple, seperate requests lined up...well, the opportunity cost might be different.

Last, when I sign off to private I tell everyone "Hey guys, I'm going to do this private chat. I'll be back soon, so stick around! When I get back let's do ____!" That last part is my incentive - I try to give them a reason to stick around, like a new, sexy goal or a fun game. Also, my mod will try and encourage discussion, even talking about my past shows on CB while I am gone. I never advertise/ask veiwers to use the 'spy feature' as it can devalue the experience for whomever is requesting the private and earns so few tokens anyway. I find that 'spying' is good for advertising, not income.

Oh and yes, PMs...I really recommend models not use them except for discussing an *imminent* private request. Guys don't pay you to PM (or if they do - I've seen it on a few tip menus - it is not much) and they detract from your shows. A lot of viewers feel left out, and having a typed conversation while performing can only hurt you. Have your fans use the tip-note feature to include an email if they want to chat/get in touch, I say.

My bio even states 'NO PMs due to high user volume - instead, put your email in a tip-note or DM me on Twitter etc etc'. I ignore PMs and if anyone gets upset about that..well, it's on my bio!

If I were to get a private show that CB saves into my collection, will they automatically save the highest quality stream available? I'd hate to spend hundreds of tokens on a show and have the 240p stream saved into my collection.

It should do yes. It's based on the source not what you are viewing.
I have had pretty bad connection problems before and the quality has been effected but then when I look at the saved stream in my collection, it's absolutely fantastic because it was from the source and not from what I was viewing. Hope that makes sense.

I just needed to tell someone that I did my first broadcast today. So much fun. Didn't earn much but don't expect to until I get all the settings/prices right etc. Today was more just making sure it all worked and seeing if anyone would watch. They did Now to really start getting content and extras and social media sorted. I think I am really going to give this my all to get it going. Cannot wait until I can get model verified on here because I am dying to get into there and read/get some tips.

One of the most important things is having a good camera. I see so many on cam that have really bad cams or very bad internet.

They are missing out of so much money. A good camera and fast internet pays for itself many times over when camming x

There have been lots of complaints of revenues going down on other sites that have affiliates of camsites.

I think it is due to many girls now selling on instagram, snapchat and through skype independently.

They don't need to give away some of their earnings for traffic if they can build their own traffic.

Currently I have 509 followers and made almost 6000 tokens for 8 hours of work. That's not bad for my 1st day. However, I had a couple of users suggeste that I should be asking for more tips because I had a few hundred people in the room and a lot of them were not giving tokens. I'm not really sure how to do this because I feel like if they're not going to tip then they're not going to tip, ya know? Any advice would be appreciated.

I really like your input on PVTs and PMs! I’m just getting a pretty legit schedule going on! So a weird question, what do you feel like if I’m on my period. I’m to bloated to cam, so I took a few days off. Mostly for embarrassment reasons. I don’t wanna play and have an accident on cam that would suck! Any thoughts on this?

This is so awesome I can talk to another cam model. What are your favorite bots/apps? I’ve been playing around with these a bit so they don’t over load my chat room!

Your room your rules .. do what you think is good for you and do what you want do .. it's not a market no bargain you decide it's your show ... there ia a lot on member on chaturbate, some will come and look and never come back, some will like some no. Soon you will have more followers, find your own style respesct your limits ... and ... first thing first ... have fun !!!!!! (btw ... 6000 for first day is awesome, never give up girl )

I say trial and error all kinds of things, good, bad and ugly. You don't know what will work for your members and tippers or room until you have tried it.
One thing I will suggest regarding asking for more tokens though, don't make it be the main focus of your room with yourself or your moderator(s) (if you have one/any). What I mean by this is, far too often you go into a room and you're not tipping, either because you have no tokens that day or you're just waiting to see and get a feel of that room. But then all too often you get angry/grumpy models AND moderators swearing/cussing and insulting your potential tippers and calling them all names under the sun because they are not tipping and they're getting a free show. Don't constantly be spamming "tip guys" or you know, anything else the same (don't have a wall full of tip text or tip images).

Just to add for explanation, the reason I personally dislike it when models or mods are constantly asking for tips is because I know why the model is there and I also know I will tip if I want to (or can do).

Also remember: just because someone is grey or any other colour and not tipping today, doesn't mean they won't be buying 10,000 tokens tomorrow and spending them on you. I know that's a rare thing to happen to see a grey go from grey to do that lol.. But my point is, unless they are being horrible, rude, demanding, or you see them not talking or trying to talk multiple times in your room, then get annoyed with that person (not all greys are bad, I promise lol).

I'll keep all of that in mind, thank you. I've found one mod and another I want to ask too. I don't think I need two at the same time, but to have them to help out when it's busy will be great. Thank you for the advice! I'm working on watching some other girls right now to see what they do to keep viewers hooked. Hopefully that will help give me some longevity after my new status wears off!

But just remember also that what they (the members) seeing may be slightly different to what you or your mod(s) are. By this I mean: you and the mods may have the option on to see when users are entering and leaving the room, so your messages for YOU are being pushed up rather fast but for a regular user with no power they don't see all of this, which means you may have asked for tips 5 times in a row and to you and your mods it looks ok because you have lots of entrants/exits in between, but to a regular member (if no one is talking or tipping and you have nothing else - notices (apps etc) will potentially just be seeing these "tip tip tip" which can be very off putting and make you seem - not desperate, not sure what word I am looking for... ummmm.. but yeah.

Don’t trust member colors too much. Just because a member is deep purple it doesnt mean he has tokens to spend or that he will spend them on you. Many tippers are broadcasters too and they are always light blue. A guy who cams can be watching you sitting on a pile of 10,000 tokens and willing to tip but you will never know, he is a light blue.

I like to order the viewers tab by tokens (it’s in the settings) and that will give me a sense of how many people in the room actually have tokens before I ask for tips.

Thank you for the advice! It's definitely a hit or miss in the beginning when finding what works. So far though, on day 2 I've made it to the front page and #4 as new models. I hope I can best myself next time. Getting tips rolling is the bigger challenge. I've done well so far, but watching other girls cam, I see they do pretty amazing and sometimes with not as many more viewers than what I've had. Just need to find that perfect equation to use. My opinion of CB and cam sites in general is this:

They exist only for entertainment. Men or women who try to fall in love on cam sites have mental issues.
Some cam models are fake. Some cam models run/loop video of a performer who is not really camming. The person you are chatting with is not the person on the screen. When a cam model is online all day and masturbating all day, that may be looped video.
A lot of models are real and a lot are nice, friendly, and welcoming.
Some models are very rude and angry. Some are drunk/high/etc. Some cam models are ban happy; they love to ban all kinds of chatters. I don't know how cam models can make money if they ban a lot and are rude?
I would never send money to a cam model outside of the site via social media, amazon, email, western union, etc.
For the cam models this is a job and nothing more. They need the money to live on.
The cam models that are the most beautiful make the most money. Cam models that are fit, have implants, cater to a certain niche, and so on seem to make a lot of money.

I like girls that are real. I like girls that chat. I don't go to cam sites to see lots of sex/masturbation/boobies/etc. i simply go because I am lonely and want to talk to beautiful women.

There are multiple sites with videos links of almost all CB & MFC models all bunched together. It's impossible to get them taken down since the sites are NOT located with the US Borders so they do not have to follow DMCA at all for the links. The other option to have them removed, is to claim copyright with the hosting site (i.e. Upstore is the site that I see the most) but I don't know how hard it is to do that.

I see cam shows posted on free sites such as xvideos, pornhub, and others. A person can practically go on google and type in the model name and the name of a free site and pull up videos.

I've watched a few camshows myself this week, and across multiple channels the screen will go back and forth between displaying "offline" and whatever is being broadcasted. While the members are being shown as "offline", they no longer appear in the thumbnails either. So to compound the problem that people think you logged off, no one new can see that you are online....it makes it incredibly hard to get a decent following in the room. Not to mention it isn't seen as "polite" to just log off without saying anything, so it leaves a bitter taste in some fans mouths. I'm not even going to touch on the fact that there seems to be something wrong with the messaging system as well.

Of course if you email Chaturbate's "support", they'll either tell you the problem is fixed or that they don't know what you were talking about. I'm somewhat curious where CB finds their programmers, because collectively they are a joke.

Yet it's not CBs problem/fault/end, it's all ours and we must clear our cache, cookies, restart our browser or router... lol
I think they need to hire some professional and ADULT programmers and devs, let them re-code the entire site. It has so many stupid mistakes.

I am receiving money from CB on First Choice Pay and i use any ATM to withdraw them. Since the amount is not immense, i didn't get any "what is the source of your money?" questions (you know what i mean).

But i see some girls on CB's first page (i'm not there yet) who make tones of tk daily. For example there's one east european girl with devil in her nick name, she is first or second or maximum third on 1 page and she gets daily minimum 2500 - 3000 $. I wonder how the hell is she withdrawing her earnings without raising any suspicion?

I'm not even going to touch on the fact that there seems to be something wrong with the messaging system as well.

Of course if you email Chaturbate's "support", they'll either tell you the problem is fixed or that they don't know what you were talking about. I'm somewhat curious where CB finds their programmers, because collectively they are a joke.

Ultimately, the only thing you can do if you're having problems is wait it out. As males, the only other camsite we can fall back on is C4....but on it's best day Cam4 probably isn't as lucrative as CB on a bad day.

And i'm on cam4 too, but, it's different, a lot of beggar i mean.. A LOT .. i make 1/3 of what i earn on cb some guys are polite but mostly beggar and freeloader. But help me complete a bit of lack on cb.

I was thinking that those slow days was due to holiday credit card bills or only a normal slow period on cb. I have a camgirl friend on mfc and its slow for her either, so, not sure its all related to the problem you told me about broadcasting lack. Anyway, hope all be better soon.
