Does anyone else think that this forum could use a slight graphical update? Mostly the banner and banner font. I remember first coming here YEARS ago and it looked IDENTICAL as it does now - I would be up for submitting some possible new banners if this gets enough interest?

Anyone else in?

This is pretty rude and insulting to the creator of the site.
Who gives a fuck what it looks like? The information, advertising, and discussions on here cannot be found on any other forum.
Besides the member access, I don't believe Amber gets paid to run this site and with the many posts being posted every second on here, I imagine it's a LOT of work on a single administrator.

And for the record, this forum is by far the most organized forum I have ever been on. I'd rather the focus be on the organization rather than the color scheme or something so frivolous.

I like the forum. The colors are very subdued and easy to read. It is not too busy with pointless gimmicks either.
You can change color modes, too!

Correct, I don't get paid to run ACF, and the member section (VIP) is paid via tokens because I upload pictures there. I may make a couple BAF tokens here or there from the banner but it's unlikely.

I realize it's a bit stale, but it works! Every once in a while, Jawbs and I will do our best to update things. We just need to have some free time to dedicate to making it stellar. :)

Things like this make me so impressed with AmberCutie. Not everyone would handle something like this so gracefully. I also agree with Megan that this site is much more organized than many other forums. Design definitely matters on certain kinds of websites but not on forums, in my opinion. I'd find a fancy layout and a lot of images on a forum to be incredibly distracting and I would imagine I'm not the only one. ACF is simple and cute.

Plus, you can make it pink. Geesh.

I like the way the forum looks. Like others have said it's easy to see and looks pretty at the same time as being simple. This isn't some kind of high tech website looking to sell shit. It's a nice little community forum. Compared to most forums I've seen around the net it's beautiful! Most forums seem to have absolutely no effort put into looking nice. If effort is to be made it's on the little things Amber and Jawbs already do every now and then that don't really bother you in the first place but make the forum easier to use.

I also think turning up to a site where you're not paying for and is not an entertainment site and saying it "could do with a new look" is totally rude and out of order. It's like going to a party as a plus one a while ago and then returning a few years later and going to the hosts and others at the party "You could probably do with a new look for your house. I mean there are improvements you could make and you had the exact same look a few years back."
This is kind of like Ambers house. We're guests rather than customers. Unless she decides to ask for our opinions we have zero say in her decorating choices even if we hated them. That's just basic manners.

I know this is going to be hard to believe but I started to post an "AMBERCUTIE APPRECIATION" thread, complete with little nuggets that I've learned along the way, just this morning. But, alas, I put the derned thing off until later...stupid procrastination. AmberCutie, thank you for allowing me to be a member of this forum, basically it's the only place on the intrawebz that I check on a daily basis.

I promise I'll post your official appreciation thread soon!

I sorta feel like this turned into one, thanks for all the kind words, everyone!

I hate drastic change on websites. People talk about stuff like changing the tip noise on MFC. I'm so ingrained to what it is that it'd probably make me cry.

It's like when facebook makes changes. You get used to one version and then they change! I never seem to see any particular benefits for the changes either. They seem to work about the same, in many cases worse! I mean there are little changes that improve the service that I like but the idea of changing something drastically just spins me out! Unless it looked really bad I just don't understand why you'd change it.

This forum definitely isn't stale. It's thriving and I associate it with a whole ton of happy memories. As a newbie I never had any fault with the layout and colours and during the few years using it regularly I've never had any issues either. I now associate the colours with good positive feelings.

One of my favorite things about the forum is that it doesn't have annoying flashy banners or ads all over. Favorite thing is that the people claiming to be female are for reals female.

And as a result of no flashy stuff the site loads fast and easily on tablets and other devices.

The forum is easy on the eyes, and well organized. So what if its not super modern looking?
Not to mention its essentially run as a hobby/free service by a very busy lady!
Its not like MFC where you have to pay to use it and deal with glitches and stuff. Rude to complain about.

I want a MK Scorpion theme of black with yellow trimmings, and I want a bloody "GET OVER HERE!!!" to pop up across my browser tab whenever I hover over the Logout link.

Tell Jawbs to get on it, Ambah.

And for some strange reason DuoShi signs in to find he can't change his avatar anymore.

Woah, I go away for a little and things get out of control!

I never wanted to change the entire forum!!! I swear, I was interested in donating my time to JUST THE BANNER, and I assure you there would be no bitcoin symbol or even anything remotely related to me. I was just trying to be nice, sheesh.

As for Amber, thank you for the kind reply, I have no problem with the color scheme of the site - I just feel like the top banner text makes it look outdated to newcomers, and the more users who join the better your personal site does.

I feel similarly for MFC, it looks REALLY outdated interface wise, very clunky - it's just popular because it's well known, well established, and has a very clever system. However compared to chaturbate's interface I feel it's really lacking.

Besides, all of this was simply a question whether others agreed, they clearly don't - but there was no need for so much hostility. I am quite enjoying my time here and my favorite thing about this place is how it isn't "all about cam stuff" i like how there is talk of video games, music, and things outside of "the biz"

I'll do my best to bow out gracefully - sorry to upset so many and amber, thank you so much for hosting these forums - I think you do deserve to be making some money from them since it's such a nice place to be.

I was actually thinking of how iconic MFC's completely 90's era palm trees are and how they are unlikely to ever change!

Honestly I wouldn't mind a new MFC banner to put up there that flows with the theme of the forum better. We threw that together for my BAF link ages ago and it never really looked right. Feel free to PM me if you have some ideas/examples of new ones to use! :) (But as for the rest of the forum at the moment, including my ACF header, no plans on how to update it or when.)

I actually like and appreciate that this forum stays the same in regards to the look and layout. It's comforting to me if that makes any sense. But I also am one of those that doesn't think change is always needed just for the sake of change.
:)
