Ran across something new on youtube and I instantly started wondering how long it would be before it transitioned to webcams and camsites.

Colin Furze is a British inventor who does a lot of really cool builds. His latest one he partnered with a TV show to build an underground bunker. This video is showing it off after it's all completed.

But the new part is it being filmed and shown on youtube as a full 360 degree view. In the upper left corner of the video there's a circle with 4 directional arrows on it. You can use that to rotate the view around, up, and down any way you like. Every angle is on there now. When the camera is lowering into the bunker you can see where the individual cameras are being stitched together. But once it's still it's pretty seamless.

Currently I'm guessing this is a bit expensive of a camera. But I think this could be a rather interesting addition if a camsite could take advantage of these cameras. Imagine a house party with a dozen camgirls all around. Just set the webcam in the middle of the room so every angle is streamed and the viewer could rotate their view however they like. I'd visit that site.

A 360 degree camera would require some camgirls to clean their ENTIRE camming room! :p :p :p

I wouldn't like this. One of the most important things for a model to have is control. I put the camera where I want to put it to show you what I want to show you. Can you imagine if you were watching a movie and you decided to look at a part of the scene that the director didn't intend you to, and thus you miss a key element of the story? It's also a part of each individual model's style how she chooses to frame herself. And let's be real, not every angle will be flattering. I definitely see the appeal for members, and it would be kind of fun, but ultimately I think that it would take away a lot of the magic of camming since the whole point is to watch how a girl chooses to entertain you. Camerawork is a BIG part of that. It would also fuck with the economy, because now ass flashes (for example) would be free. Sounds great, until your favorite bootyful model quits because her moneymaker isn't doing its thing anymore. Not to mention, even on the rare occasion my camroom is actually clean, it's still not pretty. Turn the camera the wrong way and you'll get a hot white light blasted in your face. I think it's best to just hope the model you like uses a camera in a way that pleases you, and if not, find one who does.

Everything Natalia said. In addition, Streamate doesn't allow pets on cam. I keep my camera strategically angled so my pup is out of view even if she's sitting right under my chair. If I locked her out of my room she's tear my door down, so I have to keep her with me. Yay separation anxiety!

Anyway, this would allow members to move my cam, possibly put my dog on my stream and if someone reported that to SM, I'd get fired.

Yah, bad idea. Plus, I feel like there would always be some asshole who'd just fuck with the camera. Moving it around all crazy and shit. I put a lot of work into making sure my lighting is the way I like it with my camera where it is. This would mess all of that up.

ETA: Also a privacy issue. Not everyone has a room specifically for caming, I cam from my bedroom. Some people have pictures of their families/friends on their walls and such. Personal items that could give away info on your location. What the view from my window looks like, etc.

I can understand that. When I made the thread I was thinking kind of the opposite though. Imagine the control a model or movie director could have with this. There are movies out there where the director has purposely filmed multiple angles of a scene and then included them in the movie. Shipping News and Se7en are two I know off the top of my head, but I know it's been done in quite a few action movies with car chase scenes as well.

Suppose a model wanted to do a big camathon/cammiversary show. Multiple activities throughout the night. One corner of the room is her normal chair area for chatting, one is setup for games, one she could have plastic sheets laid down for oil shows, one is decked out with blacklight stuff for dancing... Or if she had a friend camming with her, two things at once. Basically interesting more people to stay in the room at the same time.

I guess I wasn't thinking of it as we would watch a part of the movie a director didn't want to. I was thinking of it more as giving the director even more creative control to have multiple areas they did want and enhance the scene.

I remember when the same type of thing was promoted with static photography. It was fun for about 5 minutes.

As far as camming goes, I think it would be more of a distraction than anything, and add no value. How many would tip for a chance to zoom in on a model's laundry hamper? As for a buffet type cam setup with multiple models, I can see it being fun as a one-off, with a rented camera for promotional purposes, but not as a regular thing.
