Do you like poems which are rhyming or non-rhyming?

I would take it on a poem by poem basis. Many of my favorite poems rhyme and many of them don't. My two favorite poets (Elliot and Bukowski) hardly ever rhymed but I can't imagine putting down anything by Donne or Robert Lowell and they frequently used rhyme.

Any World of Goo fans here?

This game is a lot of fun. I got it for Wii (WiiWare). Can be pretty challenging at times but always worth it and fun to look at and listen to. I recommend it highly.

    Any Piano Players?

That sounds to me in the same mode as George Winston. This is one of my favorites by him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoHckkS-Qg8 He's often classified as New Age, but it I don't think that's right, but I wouldn't know what else to categorize him as. You'd have to be a really good piano...

How do You Eat Your Steak?

I'm a big fan of a fat porterhouse (or t-bone), just the the far edge of rare on the strip side (the loin will be medium rare). Preferably dry aged (you can do it at home if you have enough space in the fridge and a week or so to spare). No marinating, just salt and pepper, preferably an hour or...

    Laptop Suggestions

You can pick any specs you want, but the first place I go these days is Dell's outlet. Refurbs, scratch & dent, open box stuff, but under the full dell warranty and decent prices. Usually free shipping and no sales tax. You compare what they have and make a good decision...

    My new website

Geek, great blog. You're a fine writer and I look forward to reading more of your posts. Hopefully I'll be able to make some interesting (or at least amusing) comments. In the meantime, I'm digging your BHB Music Championship. I'm stunned that I agree with almost all your choices. I hope you...

For Yourself or Your Girl - Chocolate Recipe

I would recommend hand beating (pun intended!) both the egg whites and the cream. It'll make a much softer mousse that'll just melt away in your mouth. Also have some raspberry sauce to drizzle over the top. I think having whole berries ruins the texture of it. 'Course now, even Disciples of...

How far back does your taste of music Go Amber ?

I suppose I count as old. The Clash (saw them twice in Times Square), The Pretenders, Buzzcocks, Violent Femmes. The music of my youth. More recently, CAKE, Kings of Leon, and Bishop Allen. My popular music collection goes back to the '20s (Bix Beiderbecke FTW!) I'm also a big Classical music...

    Food

The latest issue of Saveur magazine is devoted to food in Los Angeles. I made this recipe for Pupusas con Curtido along with some porterhouses tonight. http://www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/Masa-Cakes-with-Spicy-Slaw-Pupusas-con-Curtido 1⁄4 cup distilled white vinegar 1 1⁄2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp...

    Favorite Beer

Amber, if Corona and Blue Moon are your favorites, I can't imagine you'd like Yuengling although it is a tasty brew. It's a real "sitting on the porch all day" kind of beer. I'm moving more and more to wheat beers these days. My choice lately have been Allagash White and Franziskaner Hefe-Weisse.
