Hey CB broadcasters, anyone else experiencing people coming in on hashtags you don't use or have never used?

Guys are entering the room off the hashtag fuckmachine but that's not something I offer.

Edit: think its been happening since late feb but im sure cbexplorer probably has more information since people would complain to him when mystery hashtags show up in cbcaminsights

Pretty sure this "feature" started in January already, but has seen wider adoption more recently - just as an example here are the random tags (all that are actually being used were unselected, the list goes one and on, this is a tiny fraction) viewers for one model came in from. I've not been reporting this as an issue so far since I assumed Chaturbate is just experimenting with something new - but in many cases these tags are wrong (at best) or very inappropriate for many models and I don't see how this is beneficial for either viewers or the models when folks come in with very wrong expectations.

I am extremely unhappy about it. It seems to me CB has forgotten part of their appeal is how much control models have over this stuff.

I received a thumbs down a few weeks ago over this. Someone came into my room under the "anal" tag. I noticed immediately and checked my tags, because I don't do anal. He tipped to ask how much for anal, and left a thumbs down when I said I don't do it.

That's pretty unfair, as I usually maintain 100% satisfaction score. Now I get to see a pesky reminder of CB's failed ad campaign for the next 2 months.

I've also seen people enter through the "Lovense" tag a few times. I don't use that tag, but I do use the toys, so in that case it works.

Still, I would rather decide how I represent myself and choose my own tags, to appeal to the types I prefer to interact with.

I would think so - my assumption was it's just part of an A/B experiment to see how much engagement they are getting out of this. But of course I don't know, it could be a bug after all - I don't have any inside sources whatsoever.

Support kicked it back to me and said "it's your browser's fault" for a hash tag I have literally never used and never will. This is ridiculous.

I sent them a screen shot of the hashtag in the chat room and a screen shot of the hashtags I was currently using. I know when the site gets wonky and starts to reconnect it may load previously used hashtags into the subject line and a refresh usually puts it back to what it is supposed to be but that is not what is happening here.

This is the first time I've seen it, today.

I have seen similar : men showing up in female tags that were obviously not trans.
And non Asians showing up under Asian tags.
I like to keep my Japanese fresh but the Japanese tag has a lot Of non Japanese to sort through first .
Related question what is the difference between the Japan tag and the Japanese tag .?
Not ideal obviously but it’s all voluntary disclosure so have no ideas on how to fix. Cam45 seems to have it working in their setup.

This is tricky because anyone can use any hashtag they want without CB interfering or telling them to remove it (you can't intentionally misgender yourself on the bio part though). You would have had to verify they weren't using the hashtag in the subject line you found them under.

Omg, I’d be pissed too! I used to HATE IT that guys on Streamate could just leave you whatever hashtag they wanted (I like when models are able to give themselves their own hash tags). When members do it, it opens the door for them to be able to leave offensive hash tags, as well as inaccurate ones…or hashtags that make no fuckin’ sense. I remember that they allowed you to block the hashtags that you didn’t want visible. However you wound up stuck having to forever see the list of the awful hashtags that are on your “blocked” list. I think that’s shitty and cruel, and I hope they’ve, since then, changed that shit.

I shook my head and closed the window while muttering profanities. Seriously, no effort made at all here.

It hasn't happened since but it still makes me wonder what chucklefuck said, "hey that's a great fucking idea! Shove models into really explicit hashtags even though that's not their brand, show them what they could be getting if only they did do that thing they don't do!" Boneheaded.

They approve them now and don't let offensive ones through. However any old moron, who's never spent any money or gotten a show can still leave inaccurate ones

I've always hated and complained about that feature too. I used to call them "cheap ass mans revenge". Because if you told a guy the truth, that you weren't interested in a show with him, or called him out for being stupid or offensive, you'd get revenge tags from someone who had never even spent any money on the site. It really is a pathetic feature. At least make it for people who actually spend money
