I think it's not as you think it is. On MFC there are a TON of girls who don't speak English very well. It's just that English and communication is valued more on MFC than many other places.

I totaly agree,
english is not my native language and i was never good at english lessons at school, cause of mfc i think now my english is a litle bit better, one more reason why i love my job! I practice my english while i'm working without need to do lessons.

I think this is similar to when guys say "WOW WHY ARE ALL THE CANADIAN CHICKS SO HOT!"

And I just reply "Well there are tons of girls from Canada you wouldnt like, they're probably just not on the front page"

MFC doesnt really do any kind of selection process, but English seems to be valued by a lot of members there so english-speakers are more likely to do well a higher camscore ranking and better placement. But there are many models who obviously aren't native English speakers who have still done quite well.

I think if you signed on at a different time of day, you might find a larger number of models who speak different languages were online just because that timezone happened to be awake. But generally speaking, it seems that MFC is an english-geared website.

I think that since MFC is absolutely 100% more social than all other cam sites, it creates a need for more of its models to speak English. On a wham-bam-private sort of site (like LiveJasmin or any other that focuses on private shows) it's easier for a non-English speaker to at least get herself logged on, understand a few key words for a person viewing her wanting to take her private, and then whooosh, masturbating in a private show. No need for hours upon hours of entertaining and chatting with masses of people like on MFC, or even like Streamate with their party chat/GOLD show system.

That said, I still come across quite a few girls on MFC who don't speak English well or at all, but unfortunately for them, their lack of communication skills in this language hurt them and put them in the sub 500 camscore section more times than not.

I love it how I can practice my English on MFC and don't think I would have the balls to sign up for a site with little language knowledge. My degree says I am fluent in German but I wouldn't feel comfortable speaking it on a cam site (this may or may not be connected with the fact that I know more English porn slang than German...).

lol "Arată-mi sânii tăi, pentru copii." Perhaps one example where the English is actually more sexually appealing than when said in a Romance language ;)

Not only does working on MFC help models learn English, it helps pervs like me learn Spanish and Romanian.

And a bit of Russian, too, perhaps?

Not a chance. Their models are gorgeous; their language is unfathomable. :?

Try Finnish. I swear the creator of Finnish was shooting up in the bathroom when they made it.

Ha! Compared with Danish, Finnish sounds like a singing canary. Danish sounds like puking.

Both of them are horrible!!

I speak Swedish in my daily life (hence I'm a Swede, surprise ;) ), and sure, we start to learn English in 3d grade in school, but I still have some problems with it. Specially in written form, where I have to see the horror  There are often times where I cant find the right word for something and it becomes "you know, that kitchen thingy you use for [insert kitchen task here], I don't know the right word."

My grammar is horrible, but I don't think about it as much when I talk to someone. But I'm always upfront with that English is NOT my native language, and I seems to do fine when I'm actually online.

Yes, that probably explains why the Norwegians, whose vocabulary is basically Danish, speak it in a Swedish accent. lol My mom, who grew up speaking Norwegian, always said "thingy" or the like when describing things. lol Even when she knew the actual word, she'd add "thing" or "thingy," As in "the man at the garage said I needed a new carburetor thing." :)

BTW...your English is better than most of the MFC members who speak English as their native language. lol

I have a Jasmin account as well... When I'm not online on MFC I'm there and so on... And I can tell I'm the same person even if I'm on MFC or Jasmin. I don't like to type at all :)

You think is better to stay quiet and don't talk at all because i don't speak well, or try to talk even if they will laughing with my english?
I have not probplem with writting but when i try to speak it is more funny and i feel uncomfortable.
At the privates i think the guys don't like to stop my show for type, before some days i had a gold show and i was trying to type the same time for answer at the chat and somone told me '' stop typing now and do the show''.
I care about make my english better but i can't do it from the one day to the other, i need time for that. Also for the speaking part wich i mostly need i neccesary have to do lesson for that because there is not any other way to practice them like the writting and the reading (nobody here speaks english)but i have not enough time this year.
I have meet pepoles at my country who have come here as immigrants with different native language of the language of my country like russians, albanians and others and when i speak with them i found it very funny and i try not to laugh, i'm afraid when i will try to speak on cam the members at my room will act the same as i do with those who don't speak my language well.
The bad level of english is a big negative for caming for sure, and i think even if i try hard to make it higher i will never can speak as confortable as a native speaker do, i wish i could speak my language and everyone understant.

It seems that the guys like most the american girls, the most of the top girls are amerinans... i have see only a few girls at top of mfc not american :crybaby:

It's always better to talk. I see non-American models type instead of talking all the time, and even if their English isn't great, I still think talking would be better if they want to show some personality and appear more approachable to members. I do not think members really mind an accent, or if you have to look for a word for a couple seconds. They might find it endearing.

You don't have to take a specific lesson just for speaking.
I recommend that you watch YouTube videos in English about a topic that interests you. Beauty/fashion videos are always great if you want to hear how real women our age talk. And of course watch American or British MFC models, too!
I've been watching YT videos in English since I was 15, and movies and TV shows in their original languages (mostly English) since I was 10/11. Sometimes with subtitles, mostly without. It helps. Yes, speaking is not the same as writing, but in order to be able to speak, you should listen to a lot.

So what? If members make fun of the way you talk, ban them. They wouldn't have tipped you anyway. It's not your problem if they're intolerant and mean towards models who are not perfect at English, they're just assholes.
At least you'll be TRYING to speak, you know. Trying and not doing it perfectly is better than not trying at all, and just typing instead.

No, you won't. But that's the case with 99.9% of people who learn a new language, they won't be able to speak it the way a native speaker does. They'll still be recognizable as a 'foreigner'. You shouldn't try to be able to speak like a native speaker, it's practically impossible. It should not be your goal. Your goal is getting better at using the right grammar and vocabulary, and THEN your next goal can be getting rid of your accent as well as you can, if you don't like it. But don't try to speak English like a native, that'll never happen. But that's OK.

It seems that the guys like most the american girls, the most of the top girls are amerinans... i have see only a few girls at top of mfc not american :crybaby:
Actually, I just went through the current top 20, and 9 girls are not from the United States. I think that's quite a lot of non-US models, considering that most of the premium members ARE American. (You should also keep in mind that waaay too many members filter out all European models so we don't have the same chances at making money as US-models in the first place.)

You should do whatever you're most comfortable with, a_bee.
Maybe mention it in your topic and profile that your English isn't as good as you'd like, and therefore you won't talk much, or at all. I've seen a number of models who will only turn their microphone on during private shows, and some who even put it their topic that their microphone is broken. Whether or not it actually is broken, who knows?
It's your room, so you're the boss. If people don't like it, too bad.
A lot of guys aren't on cam sites for conversation anyways. A conversation about what they'd like can usually be done using pretty basic English.

So very much this.

We can see pussy anywhere for free, and no matter how nice your tits are, there are always nicer ones. What we can't always find is a person to get to know, and hearing you speak helps members get a better sense of you as a person. People visit camsites to make a connection with a person. Otherwise we would just watch porn. Speaking reinforces that connection. That counts for a lot.

There is no need to speak constantly. It can be emotionally exhausting to speak for a long time in a language you are not comfortable with. Try at first greeting and saying goodnight to your regular members who participate in chat. Say their names and let them correct your pronunciation. It will endear you to them. Then you can answer a few questions out loud once in a while. You will become more comfortable speaking as you speak more. Speak a little bit every time you are on.

Turn down the music when you speak so your members can hear you well and you do not have to shout. Soft voices are sexier than loud ones. It also makes it easier for members to understand if you have a strong accent.

Above all: Think of it as fun and do not be afraid to make mistakes. If it is fun for you, then it will be fun for your members. I have had to learn to speak two languages in addition to English, and made a lot of mistakes. I got laughed at. It was worth it. Besides, I had no choice. If you want to be successful, think of learning English as part of the job.

You seem very sweet and you obviously are social and friendly, I think you're accent and even occasional mix up would be adorable and endearing!
Personally, I think a beautiful women speaking with a thick accent is incredibly sexy! I think the most laughing you will get is people just giggling at how cute you are when you stumble!
