Why is there a stigma attached to camming?

Almost proves my point even farther, IMO. You can get into things beyond what happens on set by being involved in porn productions.

I guess it is a bit about reputation, of course you can have "directors" who are maybe perverts and also models maybe with a drug problem desperate to make money, but if someone is in business for a longer period they will built up a reputation one way or the other and can be avoided.....
Going back to cam models, the advantage is really you can easily do your own thing and the " live experience " can not be "pirated".

:)

Societal control.
I guess there are historical-sociological factors at work, but in camming terms, I'd argue the more immediate psychological are more pressing, those being the sexual insecurity of the average user and resultant fixation on young or at least say they're young models with this facilitating a notion of dominance. A different way of expressing this would be the European models I know who deliberately tone down how smart they actually are so as to not intimidate American (mostly) customers

I believe it similar to the stigma still attached to people living together without being married. There are too many people that think they have the right to judge others and impose their "morality" on everyone.
They can't run their own lives but want to run everyone else's.

what laws could exist without this presumption of a right to impose one's own standards on others? (everyone always complains about everyone else's morality, oblivious to the morality they demand imposed by force).

Ok this is the 4th time this week someone's used the same Arthur reference. We have to try new things.

Do you not get memes old man?

It's strange to me how some people get uncomfortable with this work. My standard response to one dimensional people is to remind myself it's their bullshit. Human beings are inherently sexual, and sexuality is something that should never be frowned upon. For example, think about all these religious politicians that have affairs, fetishes, and elaborate double life's. These people are suppose to uphold high moral standards, and yet their jerking off in women's panties, sucking their thumb, and somehow these moral warriors are totally cool with that. It's hypocritical bullshit and most people are in denial.

Do what?

I mostly agree about the hypocrisy involved, but I am not really sure where you are coming from when you say "the public is totally cool with it".

Some of the public seems to make exceptions for people that commit outlandish sexual acts.
