Why do some models prohibit Snapchat screenshots?

People uploading or sharing the photos without permission.
Using said photos to advertise for someone else's site, blog, twitter, etc.
Catfishing.
Etc.

Also, since most snapchats are paid subscriptions it's shitty for guys to screencap then repost as they often do on other social media stuff basically giving away it for free.

I'm not much of a Snapchat user in my daily life and mainly only have it because of models. I understand the original intent/ model of Snapchat so I get the no screenshot thing.

I personally prefer to purchase Snapchat from models that allow screenshots versus those that don't.

I guess I'm rare in that I keep what I screenshot to myself just like the videos and other stuff I buy.

You. I like you. Thank you for being awesome.

I allow screenshots, and my snapchat is forever access but I have a zero tolerance rule. If you are caught sharing or posting you'llbe blocked for ever with zero chance of even buying back in. I also ask people pace themselves with them, as I will be uncomfortable if someone is screen shotting every single one but in the couple years I've had it these things have just never been a problem.

In the very beginning, I let my long time regs screenshot. Then I started finding them online on fake dating sites, and fake fucking escort sites.

I have NEVER. EVER. Gotten fully nude in the entire time I have been a sex worker since 2006. Until last year on my Snapchat. That's literally the only place you can see me butt naked.

So, I was pretty fucking livid. So I told everyone, the only screenshots they may take, are of black screens that have text on them. I had to change that yo include an agreement to not use third party apps to save my Snaps either. I found a few people were doing that && then sharing my content everywhere. So I no longer get fully nude anymore (I do, but only my bitch && a couple other people get to see them)

Basically if everyone could not be a piece of shit fuckbags && ruin it for everyone else, I would't care if people took screenshots, but I learned long ago not to trust anymore with that kind of shit because it will always blow up in your face.

That's why I personally no longer allow screenshots, (except for my bitch && I've never once found any content that he has, posted anywhere, etc)

On my CB account, you can purchase SC for either one month or buy it for life. No access unless they pay for it. I just recently started doing this so it took me awhile to decide whether screenshots should be allowed or not, but I decided to allow it because I know that more people will be inclined to it. If I'm fully nude, I try not to have my whole face in it. But then again... during public shows, I stream with my face on cam, while butt ass naked, so what's the difference really? :p I did set an alert on google for my model name, so hopefully I'll know if something IS posted, but you never really know.

I can see why models would prohibit screenshots but as long as they kept for their eyes only it adds to the experience. What if the model posts a really funny picture, snap art, or you get a custom snap?

It's pretty cool snapchat tells you when someone screenshots, but android users can easily download screen capturing apps and save all your snaps without you being notified. Or someone can run an emulator on their computer and capture that way. This can give people a false sense of security.

People can also use another device to take a pic/vid of their phone screen, silly as the end result looks.

Snapchat got rid of all of those 3rd party apps that people were using for screenshots.

It's not an app meant for only snapchat. It records your screen regardless of the app. Useful for recording tutorials on your phone...and using it to record entire stories, direct snaps, etc. This means they can also save video snaps.

If it can appear on a screen, it can be recorded. Emulation on a computer can be done for android and iOS devices. I feel like snapchat telling you when people screenshot gives a false sense of security and privacy when that isn't always the case

ETA: Quick search in google play brings up multiple screen recording apps. Also useful for recording game play!

I have a Public/free Snapchat account now, && everytime I do post a photo or video of myself, I end up putting my website name on it, in case, because I know there's still people who will take photos of their phones, etc && do it anyways, so at least it can track back to me. I don't know if Snapchat really got rid of the third party apps for Android, I know they mostly did for iOS from the store, but I hear if you are jailbroken you can download stuff, && I know that last time I checked one of the most popular ones for Android wasn't available from the market, but you could still download it onto your phone.

It's also one of the reasons I will edit a photo in Snapchat, then save it, then upload it. Rather than counting on the stickers && drawing over the photo/video to protect personal info, etc. I'm terrified of a glitch, or a third party program being able to wipe that shit out.
