Genuine question.
I don't want to look at the meaning for it from a dictionary, I want to get people's individual views on this and what you think a pervert "is"?
In addition to this, can a pervert be someone "good" in terms of what they enjoy, or does the word "pervert" mean only bad?

I guess, I always just classed myself as a "pervert" purely because I go on camsites, but I ended up having a little discussion about pervert and good/bad types of things people want and desire, etc and she told me from the things I like she wouldn't say I am a pervert, just a "lustful" guy.

So it made me wonder how everyone else (models and users) define this word.

I’ve always considered it a matter of setting/situation when it comes to very basic stuff. What’s considered perverted behavior in one setting might not be abnormal in another setting (note that I take into consideration the definition of the word, here, which you said not to do… but it does play into what I consider a “pervert”).

Perversion is supposed to be something taboo or unacceptable. Some things are universally unacceptable. Some are not, depending on the situation.

I don’t consider viewing vanilla porn or cam sites from the privacy of my home, as a law-abiding adult, to be perverted, because it’s legal and it’s so common that I view it as acceptable behavior. If I were doing it from somewhere else - public park, library, or anywhere else where a person could be unwillingly subjected to it without having a say in the matter - then yes, it becomes a perversion.

Not sure if I got to the point of what you were asking, but there ya go.

hmm interesting, I would consider someone peeping through a keyhole to look at someone undress a pervert, however if consent was given and it was some kind of ageed role play I would not consider that person a pervert just someone wiht a fetish for that kind of stuff. Dont know, I also link the word pervert with age?! Dont know random tooughts on an intersting question.

To me a pervert is someone who takes the liberty with personal boundaries to turn everything into innuendo or outright says sexual things in a situation devoid of any sexual intent or sexual interest in the person who is breaking the boundary.

Like if I'm standing in line and some dude says he thinks my shoes would look better wrapped around his neck...that's perverted to me. It was unprovoked, unwarranted, inappropriate and creepy. And now I feel unsafe in this situation.

Or you're watching a movie with a group of friends and there's always that one asshole that yells out the lead and supporting actresses should just "scissor and get it over with already!" He is a pervert.

If the setting is sexual, anything and everything goes as long as it is safe, sane, and consensual. And of course, legal.

I tend to use the word pervert in a more light hearted jokey way, than it's literally meant. When someone is truly being a pervert (for example in the instances listed above by Vixxen) I would use a harsher word. For some reason to me the word pervert has never been heavy enough, to actually use in situations where someone is truly being a literal pervert.

When American men move to Thailand to be a sex tourist. When men are just nasty as fuck and don’t give a fuck about boundaries. As a Stripper and Cam Model. I think 90% of men are disgusting as fuck perverts. Thank god Though. They pay all my Bills and I can buy nice houses with the pervs money. $$$$$$$$ perverts are welcome to my show. Pay me and be a pervert.

For me, to 'pervert' is to lead away from what is considered acceptable.
That term 'acceptable' is a difficult one to pin down, especially in terms of a sexual context, because what goes on between some consenting adults may not be considered acceptable by another group of adults.
Generally I suppose it is around an awareness of what is legal and what is not, but again, legalities vary around the world and between countries.

Ah yes. The underlying principle of capitalist economics, vividly stated.

Should be quoted on day one of every Econ 101 class, it's much more memorable than the supply and demand of cake. :)

Agreed. And to Vixxen’s point, I think the key factor is that a pervert is breaking some kind of sexual boundary against the wishes of someone else (friend, stranger, or maybe just the general society of wherever they are).

The boundary being broken could be an actual law, or just a widely accepted idea of what’s considered decent and non-creepy behavior.
