Fascinating facts really. I had noticed that redheads go directly to white or silver hair without passing through gray, which is kind of cool. I had a red-haired friend in the Navy who, while attending CCA school started losing hair and what was left turned white. After he left the school for reasons of stress, he regained both the missing hair and the red color in six months.

I was reading what they said about the 20% more anesthesia required I didn't know they had an actual number for it.

The other question that was taught to me years ago, but, some said was an old wives tale:

Red heads have different pain points and different locators of pain on their bodies then the say the standard brunette, brown and to certain extent blonde people. Has anyone heard this before and more pointedly to the redheads in the room, have you ever experienced something like that?

Say you are in for a examination of any kind, the health care person is poking and prodding and you say "OUCH" and they say "That hurt?", "Never had anyone say that hurt before." something along that lines?

Just wonder if that's fact (which from that article suggests yes).

I wonder how this goes for strawberry blondes. My hair went straight to grey and is fading to white as I age; though last time I checked, there were a couple white strands in there with the greys. The pain issues and endometriosis match up for me though.

Now if only the rest of the hair on my body would get with the game and do what the hair on my head is doing. I feel like a multi-colored cat with the mange or something. :?

They didn't mention what I've always been suspicious of: the idea that redheads tend to have huge tempers. lol

They did mention that redheads may have a higher instance of Tourette syndrome, and it may be that folks in ancient times have misinterpreted Tourette with a "temper."
