I sorta just started camming (in May) and I really want to move out but I'm so worried to do that because I feel like everyday I don't know how much I'll make. I've been hitting my goals really consistently but I still think about 'what if one day/week/month is slow' and I can't pay my bills.

Have you ever been in this position?
I'd super appreciate any thoughts you have, thank you!

Look for a place that's well within your current budget, ideally one that costs 30% of your income or less.

You'll make more if you maintain a consistent schedule. There's also a summer slump, so you'll naturally start making more in the fall. I'm guessing you have a number of regulars by now, so don't be afraid to raise your rates! The majority will continue to to see you, but it takes about 2 weeks to see your income go up.

If you're just wanting your own place because streaming from a parent's house is awkward then you should wait until you have at least 3 months worth of bills set aside in savings. Figure up rent, utilities, food, gas, insurance, cam costs, money for having fun, and savings. Then multiply whatever all that is times 3, plus extra for deposits. Don't move out until you have that amount in your savings account. That way even if you have 3 terrible months in a row you're not totally screwed.

We all (or at least almost all) go through periods where we don't even get close to hitting our goals. Life happens, sites go down, payments get messed up. Keep being awesome, keep putting money away until you have your cushion.
