That's great in theory but what does it even mean? How on earth can they enforce that?
The way around it is VPN but not everyone is that savvy. Until they are. This is more overreach based on "won't someone think of the children!" It's mostly going to be an inconvenience but some may decide to say screw it and bring out the DVDs they hoarded or revert to the terabytes of stolen porn on their hard drives.

That's what I'm thinking - determined underage people will just use a VPN or pirated porn (which is probably what 99% of them do anyway because since when can they afford to pay for it). And actual adults will surely be put off the official sites who want them to verify because privacy/it's too much effort. So they'll also turn to pirating
In Louisiana some sites, like PornHub, makes users verify their id with a third party site. I believe you have to make an account with that site and then once you’ve uploaded your id you have to login to that site anytime you want to go on PornHub.
Some sites, like iWC, have outright blocked users with Louisiana IP addresses from accessing the site. There’s no way to verify you’re over 18, even if you’re an actual verified creator on there. But, they basically tell you to use a VPN when you try accessing the site from Louisiana, haha.

I'm guessing this law was created by a bunch of boomers who had no understanding of how the internet works or how good the younger generations are at using it
