User with same name (almost)

So... I'm in the middle of a StripChat show the other night when I noticed something funny in the chat. At first I was confused by what I saw until it dawned on me what it was. There was a grey user in the chat with my username, spelled slightly different, who said "hello me".

That user was named "iva_handful". I wear glasses so initially I did not see that handfull was spelled with only one L as opposed to my name which has 2 Ls in my username. Then they disappeared. (see attached image)

Has this ever happened to you and if so, what did you do about it?

I also had someone (who's English was poor) tell me they saw my cam being broadcast in another room or site but using a different voice. No idea what that means and do not think they are related but... wtf?!?

I understand your suspicions but at this stage, if this user has not done anything wrong, we cannot do anything based only on the coincidence that they have a very similar username to yours. In saying that, please keep an eye on them should they come back to your room and if anything odd develops, ensure you contact me directly (charlie@stripchat.com) and I would be happy to investigate further.

Regarding you show being broadcasted on another platform, please note, we require the direct URL/links of the content to be able to assist. Should you find it, please follow the below instructions:

Hi Iva_handfull, not sure if you are aware but there's a very well-known international burlesque performer from Seattle named Iva Handfull; she has been a vocal advocate for stripping, burlesque, and SW education under that name for many years, so you may have conflicts with professional name recognition.

I thought your account was hers for a second; I was quite excited! (nice to meet you, too, of course, it's just I have a real fondness for my first Iva Handfull.

She's a rad performer - linking her amazing Domme-y Annie Lennox Sweet Dreams tribute act from the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Vegas. (It's not me, btw, we just have the same hair lol)

I was under the impression that she was retired from performing when I chose the username for myself.

I also looked at other usernames and saw how many of them were similar or dupes or exactly the same as famous porn stars.

So... because of all that I thought iva_handfull was a good choice.

And then someone copied "my username"... *wipes egg from face

There haven't been live performances over the past couple of years because of Covid restrictions, but she is definitely still performing, producing, teaching/organizing at Burlycon, she even has t-shirts I think! (that I definitely could fill out anywhere near as well as she can! )

Regardless of whether she continues to tour or not, she is very well-known and is likely to become a Burlesque Hall Of Fame Legend even after she eventually retires from performing live. Iva's Linktree
