As long as it is for the same model and not a new model then it might be possible. Just need to ask CB.

If you do it the new account will loose the "new" tag.

No, you can change your user name and elect to keep your followers, but they can't move followers from one account to a new account and any new accounts you create will not be given the new tag because you aren't new.
