I always feel like they can sense it. I think it shows in my face. I think I also end up oversharing. I know I can't be the only person with this issue. Let's use this thread for tips on perking up, faking it, or faking it till we make it, for the sake of not looking 'boring' on camera

I dont have any tips to deal with this but am very interested in anyone who does.

Cause ur right, sometimes in life ur going thru shit n can be for months and uv still gotta pay the bills somehow!

The one thing I hear time and time again from everyone tho is that they CAN tell when ur not happy on cam.

But how to over come this i am clueless!

This has to be an art. Because people are people! No one is happy all the time.

I'd look at a famous actors or actresses. Their job is to play a role. Whether they are happy, sad, mad, scared or not.
The famous actor acts, finishes the movie/show production and then goes home.
Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow doesn't show up angry at his cousin or wife or cab driver. He shows up as a drunken pirate. Savvy?
Actors were given a tool called "Method acting". It was adopted in Hollywood decades ago. It was a game changer in the industry. Google search that? Olivia Cabane wrote about this, and has some insight.

All I can say is I'm a real person, with real emotions. The pros are really good at hiding their bad days. That's why they are pros and making the big bucks. Sometimes it's just easier to take a day off (or more if you need it!)

my only tip is to go do something enjoyable -- enjoy life. have fun, come back and be fun.

I know for some people camming is their only job, so they have to suffer through it unless they can easily get temp work, but I dunno... is it still profitable to sadcam? (could potentially be more profitable, I guess -- those 'can I buy you dinner' cliches about crying women)

I just try my best to put all those feelings on hold. Focusing on your room as much as possible is honestly the best way to not let your mind wander. Try not to talk about negative things, play happy music, focus on fun topics, etc. It can make your room a nice place and a bit of an escape from what's dragging you down.

When I was going through a messy divorce I did a lot of upskirt/worms eye view angles to hide my expression during times I'd feel really down. Hope whatever you're going through gets resolved soon. *hugs

1) You could be real with your fans about what you're going through, to a point. They may feel more connected to you, and may support you through this time.

OR..

2) If you cam in a sexual way, you could just not show face until you feel better. Some girls ALWAYS cam this way. Just the body! You just have to be prepared to do sexual things, generally. But I know a girl who regularly places top 250 on myfreecams, and 95% of her show, she is just showing her body and chilling and typing or talking.

I do a visualization whenever i need to postpone/put feelings on hold just to ..function.

this is basically it.

Also, having a few 'non face' go to angles can help if you need to process something and breathe. A nice close up booty angle or something.

I suffer from a list of different mental health issues so sometimes functioning on cam is way harder than it has to be.

Honestly, I had to sign off today because I had a panic attack over no one staying in my room.

There is nothing that anyone can really say to make you feel better, but I find it easier to put on a front when I have very happy upbeat music playing, like some electro swing (Check out Caravan Palace and Goldfish, all the good vibes), putting on some dark lipstick so my smile looks on point even though my face is trying to force a frown, and making myself dance and wiggle around.

Some people might not be into this but when I can't get myself to chill I'll bun a bit of sage near my work station to feel somewhat cleansed of bad energy
