I've burned out on the non-sexual aspects of webcamming, but found myself on Myfreecams the other night,
talking about my personal growth, offering life coaching style Skypes, and mostly just holding space for people to show up as their true selves.

The response to my show was good, but there wasn't a darn thing sexual or sexy about it, and many people said that I may find my target audience better elsewhere.

I'll share what I've found so far in case anyone else is looking - please comment if you know of any other websites like this.

Tip or private based non sexual cam sites:

younow.com
-Webcam site with public chatrooms and tips, people just hang out and chat mostly, some give incentives to tip (I'll take a shot, or I'll prank my roommate, etc.)
-Seems to have a lot of very young broadcasters and a young, trendy vibe (like Vine)

oranum.com
-Take psychics / healers private for readings, advice, healing.
-Seems to have a huge audience, one girl had 500 people watching her talk about spirituality, then someone stole her to private.

docler.com
-Take all sorts of different types of professionals private to get their help; such as acting coaches, life coaches, graphic design, web development.
- doesn't seem like the site is very active, I couldn't find anyone online, on the two times I have checked.

sonicbox.com
- There is three categories: gamers, musicians, and talkshows.
- You can tip or go private, and the interface looks a lot like livejasmin.com .
- the few times I've been on there, the broadcasters seem super bored, maybe there is not a big audience or something.

Twitch
-broadcasting for gamers.

....
Know of any more?

What a coincidence! I have posted a thread on this forum earlier today (waiting for moderation at this point) asking for feedback/signups to my new 18+ Livestreaming website that will launch in 2-3 weeks: Inti Livestreaming, where users can stream anything they want as long as it's legal and doesn't hurt anyone in a bad way ;) This might be a perfect opportunity to stream sexual content when you feel like it, but to engage in non-sexual content also.

I'll quickly mention the six unique points I used in that thread:
  1. Extremely easy to use. You can be live in a few seconds, while viewers can start watching in less than a second. Chatting and tipping is easy also.
  2. Quick and generous pay-outs (70%) of tips with no minimum amount.
  3. You can mix up camming with other activities like gaming, chatting and sleeping if you want.
  4. No ads at all, giving users a pleasant and fast experience.
  5. Everything is freely accessible: no one has to pay for anything (no private shows).
  6. Everyone is welcome.
If this seems interesting to you, you can sign up for our early release with this form. Signing up early means that you will profit from early advertisements/campaigns, since initial viewers will see you first.

Cool, I will check it out!

Edit:
Do you have a landing page or website other than that form, or anywhere else I could get more information or see that this is real and legitimate. As I would have to give out my personal information in the sign-up process.

Cool that you are interested! Sadly we do not have a landing page currently (thanks for your first bit of feedback). It's definitely real and legitimate. We are currently finishing up some final features before release :) If you want, I can send you some screenshots of the test version of the website, or invite you to try the test version yourself. It honestly does seem like a good fit for what you want. If this sounds good, feel free to send me a message here or at intiLivestreaming [at] gmail.com. Alternatively, of course, I can simply remind you in 3 weeks to try the final version yourself when it goes live if you prefer.

A few extra details that you may find important:
1. We don't save any personal data other than your profile information (which we need for your stream): we take privacy very seriously.
2. You are not bound to anything: you can quit any time you like.

I don't cam on Oranum but I legit love going there. Ive considered it but with the traffic and dollars I am used to I would probably get butt hurt over it.

I know someone who tried out Oranum.

I signed up to see if I might do tarot there but never used it after she told me she only got guys asking to see tits after they went private, basically seems guys expect the same type thing they get elsewhere for dirt cheap prices. She said she asked the staff and they told her they do not monitor what goes on in privates so it is at her discretion (lol so I'm guessing this is why every guy expects xxx shows because that's what most of it is).

I guess there might be some wanting readings and such but I didn't feel like dealing with constant begging for tits at a low price. I'll just work SM for more money.

I have no idea why this response surprises me so much, I honestly didn't think that would be happening there. Hm, too bad.

If a site has no rule against nudity expect nothing less. Oranum only has a rule against drinking for the most part.

I have a friend who does very well on Oranum. She's very successful with her spiritual work from what I can see. She's never mentioned the nudity thing to me.

Also I really appreciate this topic. I've been reading about the first camgirls (jennicam etc) and realised I have a very marred view on what camming is due to my involvement with only adult websites. I find it interesting that camming can be successful without nudity! I think some adult models can rely on nudity to take the place of the emotional labour of engaging with personal conversation with everyone. Like, "cba to ask about your dog, here give me money and I'll show you a boob". And that's fine.. but it's great that there are still other ways to cam that aren't just about sexualising ourselves.

I am on docler and younow. Here are my experiences with all of these places in a nutshell.

Docler: This place is just like every other free chat cam site. But it is without the nudity and it is pretty hard to break in as a newbie for the first couple of weeks. If you are psychic, then people will demand nothing but free psychic shows from you. However, if you can make money off free chat camsites then you can make it work here.

Younow: Is pretty awesome! People tip you for tarot, dancing, and eating shows. There are a lot of college guys on there and they love tipping interesting people and pretty girls. I use it to craft more younger clientele for my bratty princess shows. They enjoy non-nude models there a lot of more. I broadcast there every month and the crowd is pretty great.

You can also try Global AfreecaTv if you do mukbang shows and anime discussion shows :)

Just thought I'd add to this. Twitch is not just for gamers anymore. They've added a Creative section. I mostly go there for music now. If you can sing or play any instrument, you can do okay with that as well. Most aren't doing huge amounts, but there's a few bigger ones who do pretty good.

But there's also other categories in the Creative section too. Cooking, game development, food, cosplay, miniatures, drawing, painting, illustration, editing, cross stitch, crochet, anime, leatherwork, programming, figurines, perier, sewing, design, comics, animation, fiber arts, glass, woodworking, writing, photography, chainmaille, graphic design, art station, 3D modeling, pcbuilding, sketch, jewelry, graphite, indie developers, watercolor, theater, virink, multi creative, dance, music production, voice acting, automotive, pixel art, paper craft, comedy, body art, brick building, robotics, digital illustration, electronics, sculpting, vector, brewing, knitting, metalworking, makeup.

Pretty much anything you can do, there's now a way to stream it on Twitch.

Have you read up on Ana Voog yet? Another you may enjoy.

I'm sorry, MojitoWrites, but this will not be helpful to you (from what gleaned from this thread).

This thread is interesting to me because I have seen how much web-based entertainment has grown in a short period of time. This wouldn't even be a question two or three years ago.

A lot of musician friends are using sites like StageIt to connect with fans and get a little extra income. When they first start, usually the first shows are free with the option of tipping during the show. As they garner a following, then there is a buy-in to attend, as well as tips during the show. The sites limit the number of viewers (I suppose to avoid crashes) so as an artist gains popularity, "shows" can sell out before the actual performance. You get the gist.

I would just encourage you to find your niche and explore every avenue. Just have to be willing to do the hustle.

As a sidebar: I may be an idiot member, but I often visit rooms where there has never been any nudity. Some have done well, some disappear.

I will say to anyone looking for sites to stream music... absolute do NOT use StreetJelly. Not only is their own traffic abysmal and mostly non-tipping (99% of the money I made there was from traffic myself and other camgals brought in), but me and a few other girls were banned from there for essentially no reason. I had to fight to get my money I made there. If I find the emails again I'll post them, but they went about deleting our accounts in a very scummy way. Don't want to rant about it too much, but they were not worth it a bit.

Twitch for music is AWESOME though, the community there is very kind compared to other twitch communities.

Live.me is a phone app similar to Periscope; people tip you and then you can "cash out" using PayPal (it's a $200 minimum for payout though, and I think you have to stream for a certain length of time before you can start accepting tips).
I only tried streaming on live.me once. I like the app's graphics and the Snapchat-like live face lenses, but there were soo many little kids watching that it freaked me out lol

OnlyFans has a live stream app as well, but I think only those who've already joined your OnlyFans membership are able to see you when you stream? (I haven't tried OnlyFans' "Fanscope" myself) You can receive tips during your stream or when you're offline.

Thanks for all the awesome replies, everyone, very insightful.

@JerryBoBerry
I'll check out twitch and see if I can fit in there- helpful advice as I did think it was just gaming there.

I could stay on myfreecams but I found the sexual comments / seekers to be distracting from my main focus : helping people heal. I want to offer life coaching (like counselling), or at the very least just a really positive uplifting space people can go to, to receive support, love, and good vibes. I guess my room would be a little haven of personal growth / new age spirituality.

Donna, if you broadcast on younow just once a month, do you get to keep your tips? I was researching it and it looked like only the top broadcasters get to keep their tips - I read you have to broadcast twice and week and have an average of 500 viewers at a time to keep your tips. Is this true??
