Hello,

I've only been on MFC less than two weeks but I've received a lot of offers from people to help me with my social media and profiles and videos in exchange for Skype sessions and personal videos.

It seems like a bad idea. Or at least the ones that have made offers to me. The one guy I talked via Skype that at the time I believed could help ended up being too manipulative for me to deal with. His online profile made it seem like he has done work for others and done a good job. He said I could pay him, even though he knew I couldn't afford it or I could give him Skype shows in exchange. He had a lot of experience and was clearly trying to gain some trust with me but also control. He told me he didn't want to tell me that specific number of Skype shows in order to earn a custom profile from him. Which I found annoying and made me realize he would abuse me and my time if I didn't know exactly what were exchanging.

But these offers do keep popping up and the truth is I do need some help on getting things like videos and my profile set up and I'm not the best with all that stuff. Are there good people out there who do MFC help that just want money in exchange for help?

Good for you for not falling for the scam. They try to target new models to take advantage of the fact they may not know better yet.

As for profiles there are good people out there that will help. Misslollipop has her profile making service Cammodelexpress and another model ForestBonnie also makes them for lots of models .

A lot of people will try to take advance of you, especially as you are new, and offer the key to success in exchange for free content. Don't.

When I first started camming, this forum became my new bible and I spent a lot of time reading up and then even more time trying things out to see what works for me.

@Miss_Lollipop profile builder has already been mentioned, and it's absolutely brilliant, I've been using it pretty much since it launched.

Another great resource for your profile is @Poker_Babe 's site: http://myfreemfcprofilehelp.blogspot.co.uk/
She has loads of pre-made templates and she also offers paid custom-made profiles :)

Hope that helps :)

If they want to help they can cover the cost of you purchasing professional services. ESPECIALLY with things like profiles which require maintenance to keep updated, members can easily use that to keep something 'over your head'. The Cammodel Express Profile Builder offers gift vouchers, and I can't imagine any other professional profile designer having any problem taking payment from a member on your behalf?

All that said, I would never have ended up in business with Moros (the other half of cammodel express) if he hadn't offered to help me with one of my videos and an editing issue i was having. The difference is, members who really do want to help will do so without 'exchanging' things. they'll do so to contribute. I have traded services and products once in a blue moon (i once did a skype for gormet icecream... no joke, and I've traded with a regular for his professional services before)

I think the key thing though is that if i do do trades with people they're always regulars. And it's never something where i'll continue to need their help down the line... always cover your ass.

I've noticed a lot of people offering services like this in exchange for free content or shows as well, and it makes me super uncomfortable. At first, I did end up chatting with some of them, but I ended up just kind of not even bothering to talk to them. It just feels too much like guys trying to scam me because I'm new, and I think your gut is telling you the right thing about it. It's just kind of scary and not really worth the risk, I think.
