Things like when you pose a sarcastic as a question in a tweet and someone feels you're suddenly open for debate.

When you are having a conversation with someone and a random third party adds themselves to the conversation.

When someone needs to virtue off a comment you made when it's clear they just want more likes themselves.

When someone injects politics into EVERY tweet.

All of the above, and:
When MFC tweets about a very handy new QoL feature/fix that models can use, and there's always that somebody to reply with some "ok but how about you fix xyz?"

Not so much people, but Twitter's "In Case You Missed It" notifications that I can't opt out of. Just let me opt out of your useless noise machine!

Also, ad-bot comments. "That's cool! Check out my profile!" Fuck your profile, Russian t-shirt company. I had a problem not too long ago on Instagram with comments that were hidden from me on my own posts. I could only see them when I was logged out. Unscrupulous shitheads. Now I have to check my account from a different browser once in a while, just to make sure I'm not hosting unsolicited ads. How about using that kind of tech cleverness for good, instead of cluttering up people's day with your garbage?

Sorry. Social media gets me feeling pretty salty.

Random nobodies who find me out of nowhere and have to comment on how "gross" they think I am. Just block me if you don't wanna see my naked ass, bro.

Messages like you take paypal bb?
Also "subs" that message me and ask me if I have a verification photo and tell me I HAVE to have one when I'm online on my cam site. Like I'm online on a cam site with the same face and same name, you can literally just come talk to me. If you're too stupid to realize how much of a verification that is I don't want your money.

So mainly just my DM's

I respond to DM's with links to my sites. Some people still try to, like, have a conversation with me. Nah, you take me private or text me through my texting site, Twitter is for free titty pics and that's it. Moar links. You're still talking? JFC, MOAR LINKS. Dudes in DM's are dense.

If you use https://tweetdeck.twitter.com you won't have that, nor will you see any ads.
Either Tweetdeck on desktop, or on mobile... delete the awful official app and replace it with one of the many third-party ones. Voila, no more ads, Tweets are in chronological order, no more obnoxious notifications. I currently use Flamingo (Android).

As for what annoys me... I got in early, so my personal account has something simple and common as the username. 99% of "replies" to me are meant for someone else or for no one at all. I can't use notifications at all except for from people I already follow, or I'd be constantly annoyed. But I still refuse to change the name...

Edit: Twitter is making some changes that may kill some/most/all third-party apps, at which time I might finally leave completely. Looks like Flamingo is no longer available to new users. But I can recommend both Talon and Fenix. Definitely worth the few bucks they cost.

Crazy use of blockchains. Found out I was blocked by a friend that thought they were 'getting back' at Trump by adding him to a blockchain ended up blocking every single person that follows them as a result.

Huh?

There's no sanity test to use twitter or maybe it takes sanity away from people.
I just don't understand what you mean by your post. Maybe I'm dumb dumb but isn't blockchain the technology behind cryptocurrency? And trying to figure how that relates to Twitter.

There are apps that allow you to block a person in twitter and also block all people that follow that person. So if you block POTUS you block 23million random twitter users from being able to follow or see your tweets.

OH block lists. Maybe there was just confusion of terminology there.

They have many names. block bots, list, chains, walls
Officially a block list, never heard any of the others, hence my confusion of what blockchain had to do with Twitter :D

This is seriously helpful. Thank you. Does anyone know of good browser add-ons that do similar? For example, I use FB Purity to tone down and organize my Facebook feed. It's an amazing extension. It makes Facebook usable again.

Tweetdeck is both an app for mobile devices, and a website where you can customize your Twitter experience. Hootsuite also has the same functionality.

When a new Twitter follower gets all carried away, and starts retweeting shit (not really retweet-worthy) that I posted back in like January 2017.

And stop retweeting my "I'm on cam now!" posts 15 hours after I posted it. (Other than that ONE time I did an exhausting 14-16 hour marathon on MFC) I am not still gonna be on cam 15 hours later...

I also think Twitter users who are gonna get butthurt when a model unfollows them should probably stop using that 'Who has followed me/unfollowed me today' app then, because they're gonna get their feelings hurt every time someone's unfollowed them. Lol.

Anytime I try to have a civil discussion about current events, 9/10 someone has point out my job or use it as an argument to deflect.

It's boring.
It is because you make excellent tweets that points out when people are stupid, stupid people don't like excellent tweets. :)

My pet peeve is people who begs for money for food, gas for their car and rent several times a month every month, but somehow have money to spend on booze, Dreamhack, cosplaying and other things that seem frivolous to me. Then manages to do this for several years and not learn anything even after getting evicted.

People who abuse the retweet button and have like over 90% retweets on their timeline. I know I can stop those from appearing on my timeline but there is no way of scrolling down someone else's page and seeing only the tweets they made which are buried in thousands of retweets of people I don't care about.

RESISTANCE OF MY CUTE ANIMAL RETWEETS IS FUTILE. BECOME ONE WITH THE FLUFFY BORG.

:haha:

Automated DMs = instant unfollow for me.

I follow, get “thanks for following, check out my ManyVids”, I unfollow. So tacky!

On the topic of this the dm that says "this user uses true twit verification"

Nope. Unfollow.

'Who has followed me/unfollowed me today' app

I hate that thing, especially when they have it set up to auto-post every damn day. I don't care how many people unfollowed you yesterday. Hell, I don't care how many people unfollowed ME yesterday!

I can’t stand that thing either. The only time I could imagine giving a damn about who unfollowed me is if the person was a really awesome, favorite regular I adored. But I haven’t had anybody like that since my active MFC days (I’m more active on Streamate now), and I think the MFC model-member relationships are a bit tighter than the Streamate model-member relationships. My spenders on SM are pretty much wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am about what they want, and they go on their merry way.

People who check your profile to use stuff against you, and not just on Twitter. For instance, a crooked landlord was trying to peddle an over priced apartment for rent on Facebook last night. I used my social media impact to criticize the price, and he tried to claim me as a corrupt pornographer ( based on a picture from a trade show). It didn’t help him, he got roasted by over 60 negative replies from other folks, and the flat stands empty.
I like using my media experience for the benefit of the community that I live in, and not just for protecting someone else’s image. Sorry for the long post :)
I revived my Twitter by the way, and I intend to make totally not safe for work:)
