Behold... the Nintendo Switch!

Turns out the leaks of the past few months were remarkably accurate: The Switch is a handheld console that features removable control pads and can be placed in a docking station (which presumably adds additional processing power) for play on a television set. The trailer shows various ways the console can be used, both at home and on the go, and teases a number of upcoming titles, including new iterations of both Mario Kart and Splatoon.

What do you guys think? Will you be rushing out to pick one up in March of next year?

My main concern with it is that kids aren't the brightest things in the world, nor the most graceful. They drop things, they lose things. We all did it, circle of life. What if little Junior takes Mario to the doctor's office, and somewhere between that and 2 car rides (and the obligatory McDonald's run for being a good kid that day), loses one of the controller bits? Heck, if I'm not careful Little Eddie Van Halen is going to bat a piece or a spare cartridge under the fridge. Or drop it in a shoe, because cats are weird.

I'm also curious what the battery life on this thing will be.

But I started saving for this thing last month, it is a mighty need. There is no shame.

I'm also excited for Zelda!!! I want one so bad.

Rumour has it at around 3 hours of battery life.
