Anyone still sticking with Survivor after all these seasons? Enjoying this "second chance" season, but I think I like it best with an all new cast.
I usually prefer an all new cast as well, and it seems extremely lopsided this season as majority of the players are from more recent years and know each other. Seems unfair.

I'm sad that the preview for next week shows them breaking into 3 tribes. I was SO HAPPY that there were only 2 this year, I never liked the 3 tribe challenges and how small it made the tribes at camp. Grr, whatever.

Glad to see Shirin go, I hated her during her last season and my feelings hadn't changed. :) It was endearing to see Spencer cry over his friend being pitted against him, though.

(I edited the topic to remind people that spoilers likely exist in here, even though it's pretty redundant and noted in the description of this subforum.)

I totally missed last night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Doh! Maybe it will be on youtube or somewhere. Totally forgot what day it was. I won't miss the next one for sure.

I watched the first and second seasons faithfully and the last four or five. Lost my way a bit for some reason. Some of the seasons can be caught on youtube.

I am more of a fan of new people because they are more likely to make show history for bad decisions, it being the first time they are out in that reality.

Cool that there are a few people who enjoy this show on this site!

I've seen every season with exception of maybe 1! I'm a longtimer lol.

Thanks for adding the spoiler alert, Amber, and thanks for moving the Aspen Rae thread where it belonged.

I agree about the three tribes, although I do like it when they mix things up and wreak havoc with the tribe dynamics. Remember when a tribe swap completely changed the landscape in Africa. And look how things changed so drastically in just three days in the losing tribe this season.

It will be interesting to see how much this benefits Spencer. And, yes, it was rather endearing to see him cry.

I saw the 2nd episode on CBS.com (I think).

I can't believe how many tears I saw in that episode. Wow...ohhhh. I know about half of the players. Two that I know have been voted out. There is obviously a thought of old timers vs. the new ... is that action vs. social?
My thoughts:

Kelly Wiglesworth--doubtful, at the end of season 1 she ended up in top 2 soooo...life has changed her...no
Kimmi Kappenberg--just don't think so..never saw her play
Jeff Varner--he seems devious, maybe

Abi-Maria Gomes: no way..she has pissed off lots of people
Andrew Savage: I don't think he will last (misses home)
Ciera Eastin: Don't know her. She is doing nothing to attract attention to her...hmmmm
Jeremy Collins: physical threat...but he has serious motivation...but still...I gotta go with no
Joe Anglim: love Joe, but he won't win...target because he is Awesome at everything...
Kass McQuillen: She has the brains and now she is doing the social game...serious threat

Keith Nale: LOLLL
Kelley Wentworth: Little bit following the crowd. She has an idol clue though...doubtful.
Tasha Fox: Hmmm...attitude is good, but I doubt it
Monica Padilla: Another one I don't know....I will say doubtful...but maybeeeee
Peih-Gee Law: nooo..too much interaction with a bit player like Abi..
Woo Hwang: Everyone loves Woo...but he needs to win challenges
Vytas Baskauskas: Gone...didn't see it (thought Abi)
Terry Deitz: Old school that doesn't survive
Stephen Fishbach: Nope
Spencer: Guy was awesome, but he's too smart and everyone knows his greatness.
Shirin Oskoo: Gone, but figured she would be...she really likes being in power (her downfall both times)

Easy choice is Varner because of his ability to manipulate. A couple of people I do not know and then there is Kass who has a different personality now...and she went far with her old personality.

I love Survivor, one of the few "reality" show that I watch on tv. I would prefer to have an all new cast or at worst, a mix of new cast and old cast. This season so far has just been a repeat of how people have acted in their past season (granted, I've only watched the last 8-10 seasons, so the older folks, I'm not sure of). Hopefully, this season gets better :)

but I have an intense dislike for Abi-Maria

Peih-Gee got pulled into the Abi vortex and paid the price. I don't have a dislike for her but I do think she emits drama out the wazoo.

I feel so sad for the yellow tribe: they had 4 people from the same tribe and two to pick off, but they couldn't hold it together. Abi and Peih-Gee have a history that doesn't help at all in presenting a cohesive front, Woo tries but never seems to get it right and now he's on Abi's revenge list, and Varner messes up and gets caught (I might have been wrong about this guy) casting doubt on his loyalty (?). A 4-2 margin went away so quickly. Tasha is a strong competitor, but Savage is kind of meh. Fun fun fun! :)

Well, my easy choice, Varner, couldn't weasel his way past the tribe switches and the injury, though he did do pretty awesome with trying to keep Abi on his side (didn't he say he misses his Abi-time? LOLLLL).

This game is so hard to predict. I wonder if they have vegas odds (I haven't looked)? I was wavering between Varner and Kass...but I don't think I've ever chosen a winner. There is no amount of talking I can do to the tv when the show is on that is gonna change the choices of the participants. :)

So far it's all yellow tribe dynamics sooo a lot of these other people aren't visual yet. I did think the inclusion of the Chaos Kass birthday gift to Kelly Wentworth was interesting....hummm.

Not sure blindsiding Monica was the tribe's best move. Kimmy manufactured that because she didn't like Monica's position on leaving food in the ocean, not because she broached the possibility of an all-girl alliance. And decreasing your own numbers seldom makes sense with a merge on the horizon. Kelly lives to fight another day. Savage and Tasha are certainly pleased, and who knows what the future might hold for Spencer.

The look of shock on Monica's face was priceless, though. One of the most blind blindsides I can remember.

Spectacular season of Survivor. The first tribal council last night was a joy to behold (and just a wee bit confusing!), and in the final tribal council when the jury had its say Wentworth looked sensational. Show has a great formula and when the cast clicks the results are terrific. And it looks there's some drama in store for us next season.

I'm so excited to see Caleb from Big Brother 16 in next season! But holy shit it looks like there's so much medical attention needed, makes me curious if they're making things more intense or what.

For purely purient reasons, I was sorry to see Anna get voted out. She was such sweet eye candy for me. But there's one person I definitely want to stick around for a while because she's such a hoot: Debbie. Have you noticed how they put a different occupation up for her every time her name is on screen? Including part-time model. She's just extremely entertaining; and damn good in challenges, too. What do you folks think of this season so far?
