On topic: I hope Colton goes fast, too. I can't believe people thought he could change that much that quickly. Bozos. I love Rupert and am sad he isn't mixed in with the tribe right now, we don't get to see much of him.

Colton is a gay, extremely effeminate fellow from the south -- which has little to nothing to do with his notoriety. He was a completely unlikable player his first season. He was mean, spiteful, bigoted and haughty. When he wasn't busy whining about something, that is. He began this season by saying he was going to show another side of himself, which he did by pretty much crying through the first episode. He no doubt has had a rough young life and apparently adopted a lot of defense mechanisms to deal with the way he was treated by a lot of people. Teaser for next episode hints that his previous self may be quick to emerge. But those teasers are not always all that reliable.

Did you see that snippet from next week's show when a sobbing Colton curls up on his boyfriend's lap? It doesn't appear that playing Survivor again was the right thing for him to do. But Survivor has a way of playing with us when it comes to these previews.

I have tonight's episode recorded and will watch it in the morning. I've heard it's a real treat for people who don't care for Colton, so I'm really looking forward to it. I don't generally enjoy peoples' pain, but this guy has really sown some bad karma.

Well... the drama queen boy-bitch selfishly quit while fake crying in his typical little spoiled bratty way once he knew getting his way was out of the question. I was hoping to see him get a little more of what he deservedly had coming. However, Jeff Probst did lay into him fairly well on national TV so the pompously prissy Queen Colton will probably be in therapy for decades. :lol:

PROBST: I wasn’t sure what to expect from Colton. Truthfully, I could have done the season without him but that’s often the case when it comes to casting. We don’t all always agree on who should be on the show. But as his personality began to emerge in these early days it did feel very familiar to the last time he played and began to confirm for me what I felt the first time he played — which is he engineered his own quit. It’s just my personal observation and Colton would certainly tell a different story. But I think there is a consistency to Colton that is hard to deny.

That was an exceptional tribal council this week. Culpepper didn't know what hit him, but he took it graciously -- perhaps too graciously and masking his real feelings. But I suspect he'll be around the game for a while yet. But that was a fun one.

Well, LauraB has to be among the most clueless Survivor players ever. And Kat is quite the immature young lady -- even though I wasn't thrilled that Probst put their "relationship" on the spot like that.

Well, LauraB has to be among the most clueless Survivor players ever. And Kat is quite the immature young lady -- even though I wasn't thrilled that Probst put their "relationship" on the spot like that.

Yepperrrrs, Laura B's naivety is likely due to her being raised on a farm with limited life experiences. She was lucky to meet a decent guy. Dunno what Kat's history is, but it's also part of Probst's job to point out their option to switch along with stirring up any drama that may exist. They're all adults and it did seem a little harsh, but only due to Kat's immature vulnerability.

True, but Probst's probing also came close to jeopardizing Hayden's social game and his position in the tribe and/or alliance. Probst sometimes inserts himself too far into the game when the players should be left to their own devices. He can probe at tribal council within reason, but in this case Hayden had to ask Kat which of them had the better chance in the game. Maybe the ensuing conversation put ideas in other peoples' heads. Maybe not, but it revealed a part of Hayden that perhaps he didn't want to reveal.

Sometimes I just think Probst goes too far. Survivor has generally been a game that's decided in the field of play without a lot of the kind of manipulation a game like Big Brother employs.

But, essentially, you're correct. He's the executive producer and the voice of the show. He can take it where he wants. It's his show and certainly not mine!

I'd be happy with Vytas/Tyson/Hayden getting far. Not really digging the ladies this season...could care less...

Meh, all my picks are gone. Ever since Gervais and Tyson were shown stealing coconuts from the group with their screw everyone else, gonna get mine attitudes... they have been on my shit list. I can't stand people that employ sleazeball tactics like that in group situations.
