I've noticed on and off site lagging. The biggest problem I see is other models running v1 bots with back doors and other malware. I maintain a private Telegram channel with a topic on apps and security that I share with known and reliable friends.
I use only v2 apps, I stick with the open source apps and I have developer friends (I also work in IT) to help review what I run and my settings.
Chaturbate support is actually very good about helping troubleshoot issues. Be sure to also completely log out per the recommendations on CB's docs.
I have also seen it where it appears my stream is active, but no traffic comes in and the room is dead quiet. Recently that happened as soon as a model entered my room and others verified that my stream was showing offline. Once I banned that model, I'm suddenly visible again. I have seen this in literally dozens of rooms. It took me and a friend nearly a week to ban out things and get her rooms moving again. And she's gone from maybe 200 viewers to over 700.
A good test is to ban an account and observe how many alt accounts get banned with it. I've seen accounts with like a dozen alts.
Finally, be very wary of apps that expand moderator privileges. There are large groups of member moderators and some studios that will use moderators as targets. In one technique, a moderator is conned into trusting someone and revealing confidential model information for use in blackmail threats.
