As a member, i much prefer to do a skype show with a model friend than a private.
The difference in quality is crazy, mfc streams at 320x240 resolution still, regardless if you have a HD webcam.
I used to do private shows, but seeing the tokens gradually run out while in the show is a big off put, that may sound weird to a model but i'm sure there is other members who understand what i mean.
I always felt like i was rushing the model in pvt, trying to think up the next thing to ask them to do.
With skype it seems so much more relaxed, i give a giftcard before the show, let them redeem it and realise its legit,
then ok we got 30mins 45mins or whatever. There's maybe 5mins of chatting and talking before and after the naughty stuff rather than trying to get every token worth out of each minute in private.
I nearly always give a email giftcard, because i dont see why MFC should be taking a cut thats got nothing to do with them.
I can understand though if a model wants it through mfc as a offline tip to try boost camscore.
** One important thing and i dont know if this has been mentioned before on here or maybe has in the model section, but it is incredibly easy for someone to get your actual location with skype.
There is various websites anyone can enter your skype name into, and it will give them the ip address of computer that was last signed in with that skype name or is currently signed in. Then a simple search on another website like ip2location and you've got the actual location of the computer with that ip address (you will be shocked how accurate this can be)
If i'm talking to a new model in PM and someone asks them about skype in public chat, i always mention this to them and of course make them aware of the usual scams and bullshit to watch out for.
There is a setting in skype that can hide your actual ip address from these websites, so if anyone was to do it, they would get a Microsoft ip address not yours. But this wont stop someone from doing it manually on their own computers.
There is however free VPN software out there to make your ip address be from another country, but i dont know if this would affect the skype quality or not.
I know hostspot shield was popular for a while, but it serves a ton of ads now. I did find another free one that worked really well but i cant remember off the top of my head what it was, if anyone is curious or wants to know more, just say here or in PM and i'll search around my bookmarks and stuff for it. Oh for those wondering i've got a bit of a interest in IT security and various other IT stuff and always wanna keep models safe, and i always mention this to a model im not friends with before skyping with me, though im not be tracking them down anyway lol but obviously making them aware is the right thing to do
