Every episode ever I guess, pretty cool. Haven't seen the show in at least ten years so kinda looking forward to when it reaches seasons I haven't seen. Anyone watching? Favorite characters or episodes?

This is the first time I've regretted not having TV or cable. :( I grew up with the Simpsons, can recall the most obscure quotes and reference, and just... damn, they're like family.

Favorite episodes- Homer becoming a missionary, Mr.Burns adopting Bart, and when Lisa & Homer break into the Egypt exhibit at the museum.

Favorite quote:
Mr.Burns: I suggest you leave.
Homer: Or what? You'll release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth so when they bark they shoot bees at you? Well, do your worst!
Mr.Burns: My worst, eh? Smithers, release the robotic Richard Simmons!

I have been watching.

Haven't seen the early seasons since I was a kid and I've been getting alot of the more mature humor and movie references that that flew over my head when I was younger. Watching the show now is a totally new experience.

I wonder if they'll show "The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson" episode. It was removed from syndication shortly after 9/11 and it's one of the best episodes.

Yes they are: 8/25 3:00 AM ET – “The City of New York vs. Homer Simpson”

Full schedule is on IGN.

I read somewhere to watch every episode it would take you 8 and a half days. No breaks.

I kind of want to take this challenge lol

Edit: Sorry, kind of off topic. lol. I have not watched The Simpsons in a very long time (no cable) but definitely have been planning on catching up.

Noticed this too. Kinda related, thought King of the Hill was so boring when I was a kid but now that I get it, I love it.

Crazy how many characters are in the show. Think I saw the first appearance of Cletus a little bit ago.

I forgot how sexsist and racist some of the Simpsons episodes were. They just strongly implied native americans are a bunch of lazy alcohol drinkers. In the episode I watched before that one they said women with muscles were ugly and unfeminine.

Is it in the older episodes? That actually kinda surprises me for some reason :/

It just shows how things change as you get older, and you look at the world with greater wisdom. I still remember how sad I was when I reread a series of books I liked as a kid. I remembered the main character being smart, and tricking everyone to get his way. As an adult I was saddened by the character's unbelievable avarice, and lack of compassion for others. I was certain he would grow up to be a miserable man who could never find happiness.
