First off, I apologize if this is elsewhere; I have searched here, and all over Google & even asked on Twitter and no one answered. I emailed and asked as well, but they told me "no directing members off site". I see a ton of models offering videos in exchange for gold, but how are they sending them? I really want to sell mine on there, but I don't want to get into trouble. Thank you so much in advance.

For most sites, the girls just upload their videos to a hosting site (like Dropbox), then receive payment via tokens on the camsite, then send a link to the video through the cam site messaging. I'm not sure if SM allows you to do this, but I'm assuming they would as long as you only accept tokens as payment.

Yep, as long as the page that the members are directed to don't have any links to social media or alternate sites/payment methods, they're allowed. Models use Dropbox, Project Maened, and even a special page on their personal website with no issues.

Sorry for sort of necro-ing this thread. Starting on SM soon and planning to sell videos as part of my Gold Show deals and stuff, but... All my videos are watermarked with my twitter and stuff. :/ Is that okay? Or do I need to edit that out of all my vids?

You have to edit those out. I got in trouble once for just saying "twitter" in passing, not even giving them my handle. You might be able to get away with it, but I wouldn't risk it since SM can be a main source of income. Since I use my videos on many platforms I just put "LuxyReid", should be enough for *most* people to be able to figure it out and use google..lol.

ETA: I just have about 80 videos and don't have the original content for most so Idk if a big black bar in the corner will be an issue for guys. lol

I don't know for sure if they click the links to check, but I'm sure they do (or at least can), I know they have ability to look into your inbox and randomly watch your shows. I think I asked about it before and someone in chatzy said they have the shows recorded and do random checks from prvts and exclusives and such. I think it's more of a better safe than sorry thing, especially since it's something as constant as videos.
Oh, and also....if you are drinking on cam, put it in a solid mug or something. They yelled at me for drinking out of a wine glass once.

Nope! That's what I would do personally. As long as it's not blocking the main "action" for most part I don't think they care lol. Although I would put a black bar over it and lay over SexySteph or whatever your username will be just so you do get credit in case it gets circulated.

Edit: also...if you will be opting in for gold shows, I don't think they allow you to have a watermark over your live stream so I would put up within the camera frame your username in letters on the wall or something so people know who you are when they run across you on pornhub or something. They don't always attach your username when they put up your recorded live shows.
If you use Project Maenad for linking to videos on SM, you have to check the box that says "hide profile link" even if there isn't anything on there.
You're allowed to watermark your shows (I used to do this with OBS) but it has to be the exact username that you use on the site. I got a warning for having my name (which is on my profile) so I know they are strict about it.

On Streamate, I've had models ask me to message them my email...then they send the link via private email, and other than the original gold transaction, SM isn't even involved, so your videos or pictures can have anything you want on them.

I think streamate would have a problem with that if they found out. No outside contact rule and all of that. I could be wrong though.
