I've looked long and hard for a thread like this but i've only managed to find out where to sell videos. Does anyone know of a website like Media Fire where you can upload photosets and give them out to people via one link. I've been trying to figure out mediafire all day but I can't seem to make all my pictures private. I don't want random people to see them and I only want the people viewing them to see the one photo set the bought not all of them i've posted. Also somewhere they can't download them would be amazing. Thanks!

it works exactly the same as videos :]
what you might want to do is put all the images of a set in a .zip file and upload that one (not one by one). and then you have a bunch of choices where to upload them.

but maybe for you just using the MFC gallery is the best fit?
it's password protected, and there's no easy way to download the images. (it's always possible to make a screenshot, as with all sites)

i use mediafire. Put all the pics in one folder, right click the folder hit 'send to' zip file.

Then upload the zipped file like you'd upload a video :)

But yeah if you don't want people downloading them the MFC galleries are better. :) Be aware though that in todays digital era..

I dunno, when I buy photos as a member I really like to be able to save them. If you delete your account, i might lose the photos. If I'm going to pay money for a photo set I like to be able to save them.

An option if you're concerned about distribution illegally is to watermark everything. If you DO find them on another site mfc will end dmca's for you.

I guess I'm not too worried about people downloading my files, I just want to make sure i'm not letting myself get ripped off so want everything to be secure. I'll give it a try zipping the folder on mediafire. I want it to be easy for people to look at my content and not have to make an MFC account to see it. That does sound pretty crappy if someone bought pictures and for whatever reason I deleted my account they wouldn't have them anymore, I didn't really think about that. Thanks for your suggestions ladies they definitely helped :)

I would disagree, it's a bit more time-consuming, but certainly not difficult. Firefox comes with a built-in function to change the code of a site on-the-fly so anyone with a passing knowledge of HTML could easily access the images directly if they so choose.

MFC Gallery password checks are server side last time I checked.

What Leon probably meant is that once you are authenticated for that gallery, you can easily change the page as you wish to make it easier to save it all.

Basically what leon said. Once we get the passwords for a gallery, it's nothing to download the pictures contained inside. There's no coding, or script needed. Just direct download pretty much. It's only time consuming because you have to do it one by one manually. (but yes a script could easily be made to make it much faster, I just haven't bothered with that yet)

Question for models, were you under the impression we weren't supposed to be able to do this? Because I've pretty much downloaded every single photo in every gallery I've ever paid for. I never even considered it a possibility I shouldn't be doing so.

I guess I'm confused. OP already said she didn't have a problem with people downloading her files.

Both Leon and I were commenting about Fay's comment, not the OP. Clear it up?

This is indeed what I meant, though I could have put it a bit more clearly.

Once we get password access and open up the album, it's not that difficult to downloads the photos to our hard drive despite MFC's best efforts.

If this is a problem for you, please let me know. I only download them because I like the content to be available on my terms rather than having to hope that my internet works or having to keep track of a bunch of passwords.
