Did Jean-Claude Van Damme really do this or was is faked with CGI or some other type of trickery?

maybe i missed something...but those trucks are going in reverse...
They say that they did that on a closed off course...maybe they meant the trucks running side by side...but him doing the splits off the mirror trees...I dunno

Van Damme, 53, was hooked to safety lines that aren’t visible in the film, and each foot is on a small platform that was built on the trucks’ side mirrors.

Never even a seconds doubt it was real. He's pretty much been doing that stunt in his movies since his career began.

Yeah, I know the splits is one of his signature stunts. I was thinking they originally filmed it with the trucks going slowly forward while he was doing that, then just played it in reverse at a way faster speed for the commercial. I've driven plenty of big rigs, but never a Volvo with dynamic steering capabilities like that. That is pretty impressive.

It's totally plausible now knowing he had good footholds and safety wires.
