I have received an MFC mail from the profile GordieV and was wondering if anyone has worked with him or has had any contact? They have asked for regular skyping (600 tokens) and would like some imput on the idea and the viewer asking.

Thanks!

accepting tokens on MFC for skype showsis pretty standard. Just always make sure to receive the tokens before you give the show.

Good idea, do you have any recommendations for a VPN app or where to get one?
I've heard people using one called "hidemyass" and many people have great things to say about Private Internet Access.

VyprVPN and ExpressVPN are great choices, but their also very expensive.

AirVPN is good choice that is a little cheaper.

It comes with a windows firewall killswitch which basically blocks all traffic if for someone reason your network connection is cut off. It's very reliable and a extra level of security.

Also you can get a decent VPN for like 4 dollars per month. It is an extra cost but it is defenitly worth the extra speed and reliability over a free option

The reason why VyprVPN is more expensive than other VPNs is because what they do is expensive. They own their severs ( both the hardware and software), while other VPNs rent 3rd party severs. As a result VyrprVPN is faster then other VPNs. VyprVPN also has a killswitch.

PrivateInternetAccess (PIA) also has the kill switch option. While it, ExpressVPN, and VyprVPN are all valid choices there are some differences that make me like PIA better.
VyprVPN only allows one connection at a time.
ExpressVPN allows 1 computer, 1 phone or tablet, 1 router and 1 streaming console to be connected at the same time.
PIA allows 5 simultaneous connections and they can be any combination you like of any devices you have.

So to me PIA is much more configurable to various options. PIA is also the least expensive of the three. The cheapest option on VyprVPN doesn't allow OpenVPN and L2TP/IPsec connections, you have to pay more per month for those. PIA does those options and more.

ExpressVPN and PIA both offer some anonymous way of paying, couldn't confirm on VyprVPN since you have to install free trial before you can see payment options. But only PIA also has the option of paying with gift cards. You can literally pay cash at some restaurant or store for a gift card and use it to pay for their VPN service. They accept hundreds of store gift cards as payment. I can't think of more anonymous buying than that.

The other thing I'll mention is do your own research on reviews, whether or not they keep logs, are truly anonymous or things like that. PIA I found good reviews all over. They connect you to an IP address in a pool of other people so they themselves don't even know which one of you requested what info. They don't keep logs to turn over. Things like that.

VyprVPN however logs your IP and web activity. I'll just post this review on them.
https://www.bestvpn.com/blog/10123/vyprvpn-review/

VyprVPN has been around since 1994 as part of the Golden Frog internet freedom consortium and from reading the review you’ll find out that even though they promise great things there are a number of issues with them.
.
.
.
The company is registered in Switzerland meaning that it should be outside both EU and US jurisdiction but their physical location is in the US which not only makes them liable in the US but they also respond aggressively to DCMA requests with each customer being given a two strike rule. This is definitely a big show stopper especially since they keep logs for 30 days! We’ve also had complaints about connections being dropped often and since they don’t use shared IPs there is no deniability if you are charged with any offence – big or small.
.
.
.
The IP Checks also came back clean, however, we had the following issue with the DNS Leak test:
As we can see from the below image the DNS leak test showed two servers (these varied from location to location but were always present). As the results are clearly server hosting companies these usually wouldn’t worry us but since VyprDNS was switched on and they promise no DNS leaks then either there are DNS leaks or they do not own all of their networks.

The fact they [VyprVPN] have that 2 strike rule means they do track what users do and they do keep logs to go back on. I ruled them out instantly from that alone. To me that means they are worthless at any price point.

I've posted this before but here's a good and bad list of VPN services. Notice that both VyprVPN and ExpressVPN are on the bad list. They both log activity, which means they openly admit to having data to turn over. I wouldn't even consider either for that alone. PIA is on the list of good ones, but even if you don't want PIA I'd still do research and choose from among the ones on the good list.

VyprVPN only keeps connection logs of the IPs and times of conneton, not logs of the websites the person goes to. And those connection logs are purged after 30 days.

TorrentFreak has a very good annual assessment of VPN providers it where I usually start when trying to decide which VPN service to go with.
https://torrentfreak.com/anonymous-vpn-service-provider-review-2015-150228/2/

It geared towards BIttorrent Users some of the questions do have to do with DMCA and whether or not torrent traffic is aloud on the service. However they ask about logging, payment methods, security protocols, etc. So there is a lot of information that is useful for general users.

Along with Bestvpn good place to find good reviews on VPNs is securethoughts.com. They have information on things like customer service, trial options, number of connections allow, etc. If definitely does help in finding which services are better.
