Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum so I'll quickly introduce myself, my name is Leighton and I was previously a cam girl on MFC (which due to living situations and my boyfriend was a very short lived career). Now I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum but I was thinking of starting up a freelance business doing profile development for cam girls and helping out with digital marketing strategy for a flat fee - or maybe commission. What do you guys all think of this, is it something that you or other cam girls would be interested in? Camming is such a great career and I'd love to find a way to be involved and help others succeed - looking forward to hearing your thoughts :)

My thoughts...

People generally like to see some kind of experience first to show credibility. If I'm reading this right, you want to offer making MFC profiles and some kind of marking??? Do you have any examples of profiles you've made? You said your career on MFC was short lived, so I'm not to sure how well you'd be able to "market" any of us? But I'm not trying to "poo poo" you or anything. Do you have any success stories as far as marketing goes, or profile work examples??? What was your model name on MFC???

Also, it seems like you really didn't want to give up camming... maybe it's none of my business, but I say if it makes you happy, don't let your bf get in the way. But that's just me.

Anyways, welcome to the forum.

I think it's an interesting idea, I've been considering hiring my friend to help with my profile, but he has a lot of web design and graphic design as well as coding experience. I would recommend having one, if not several degrees as well as a portfolio of experience and examples if you plan to make a business out of it.

I think the promotion could be cool if you happen to already have a huge social media following, but without that, you'll just get mixed in with all the other promoters that are already out there. I honestly don't know that there's a huge demand for paid promoters in cam-land.

There's always someone looking for profile design, so that might be a more lucrative market. I agree with Poker, though, samples of your what you have done/can do is a good idea. Do you have things we can see? I disagree about the degrees though. You don't need degrees to be good at coding and profile design, there are tons of ladies here that don't have design degrees and you'd never know it by looking at their profiles!

Good luck! :)

Thanks so much for the responses guys, I was actually thinking the same that maybe models would be more interested in just the coding for their profiles. I just thought it might be a good idea as I have a background in advertising/marketing but it's probably a better idea to focus more on offering profile design/development. As a part of my current degree at uni I'm studying web development and am just starting to get into all the CSS and HTML coding, so I don't have a great portfolio at the moment, however I am already quite good with design so I'll definately get some samples of my work up for people to have a look at once I'm more confident with the coding side of things.
