Strange question/thought - I was in a room today where clearly displayed behind the model was a cushion with a company name printed on it, the company is not related to SW. It was sufficiently prominent to make me Google the company's name out of curiosity. The room is popular, with over 300k followers and it led to me think:

a) is this allowed on CB? and
b) if so, this offers quite an opportunity for other models to forge sponsorship/product placement agreements

I have intentionally not named the company or the model/room in case it is not permitted on CB, I don't want to be the one to get them in trouble....

I asked cb about doing something similar (just using a lower 3rd overlay and not with physical props) and was told that any kind of sponsorship or promotion is not allowed (if it comes across as sponsored which it would have to for it to be complaint with FTC regs (I think it's ftc that does the advertising regs at least)) (it was 2 years ago so something may have changed).

I also think I know the studio you are talking about. It's an advert for an online gambling site right and they have the sites branding on all the toys and pillows?

ETA: They said wouldnt be appropriate which I took to mean not allowed, not appropriate is up for interpretation if it means the same as not allowed though. Personally I didnt want to risk it as my interpretation isnt the one that matters 😂

Nope they never provided it, normally when they mention TOS they provide me with the link. And they didnt just email me back like normal, the first response was they will look into it, so I assume they checked with legal or someone else.

They might have referred to this from Appendix C:
