In all honesty, dude, if you want everyone to stop being mean to you, please stop posting and insulting our Lady Mistress Amber as we seriously call her all the time.

It is incredibly rude to assume that an intelligent and competent adult cannot take care of herself.

Do you walk up to people on the street, call them fat, and tell them to get tested for diabetes? That is incredibly rude.

As an adult, you should realize that strangers on the Internet do not need your opinions on their life.

I think I fell off my couch laughing when I saw Amber listed as a BBW. Amber is what? A size 8? Perhaps a size 10 if she wants to wear something baggy. Based off of my calculations (using the numbers she provides in her profile), she has a BMI that is in the first box of "obese" which shows us why BMI is a joke (but that's another thread). 95% of doctors would tell you that the first three squares of the obese chart are considered the "normal" range, though on the top end of normal. When I was Amber's size I had the same body build and roughly the same breast size and my doctor told me that without the breast tissue I would be two boxes away from the first box of the obese chart. Which is charted in the "normal" range.

In conclusion, Amber is in no danger of developing diabetes unless she starts slurping down pure glucose and packs on another 30 pounds. My genetics predisposes me for a higher density in my bones (yay no osteoporosis!) and a higher density in body tissues such as breast tissues and butt tissues. Yep big butt, big tits, little waist.

Remember folks, there is a lot more to medical information than X+Y=Z. Medical information is never one factor plus one factor empirically and inextricably equates to a single outcome. There are always numerous factors that add into an equation that comes out with a product.

Also. Amber is my cam hero. She's hysterically awesome on cam.

Surely me being considered obese would prove a major point about the guildelines being really off, but I feel like the calculations may have been off in the first place.

I am 5'4", and teeter between about 136-140lbs (consistently closer to 140 since I've started weight training and replacing fat with muscle mass). Regardless of if my calculations or your calculations are correct, I don't fall into any "big" category in my opinion.

BMI is only a tool, not meant to diagnose. All body builders fall into the obese category using only BMI as a reference, since, as you pointed out, muscle weighs more than fat.

As for BMI, my knowledge is limited. I do know it's an imperfect system and only used as a rough guideline. I always thought the system was universal but I guess there could be different charts that place different scores into different categories.
