I am writing to ask other models who are on Bonga cams and the Bonga cam administration themselves why they keep decreasing the payout percentage they are giving us models?? It used to be 1,000 was around $38 USD but then a few weeks ago I noticed it was dropped to 1,000 tokens = $25 USD and now today it has gone down to 1,000 = $23.80?? Like what are they trying to do? Do they honestly expect us to hike up our prices so high that hardly any member can afford them? A lot of members don't even want to pay 100 tokens let alone 1,000. Most of the other sites I have been on give $50 for every 1,000 tokens someone tips you but absolutely no less.

Hi, Bluenette!

Thank you for reaching out.

During the "Increased RevShare" promotion, models from the USA and Canada earned a higher RevShare percentage of up to 80%. However, this campaign has now ended.

Currently, a model's RevShare percentage ranges from 40% to 50%, depending on profile completeness. Based on this rate, a model's earnings per Token can vary between €0.02 and €0.025.

If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the BongaCams Support Team.

Thank you!

I quit that site. The payout was very low to begin with, even while the promo was still active. They act like they're doing something good for customers by having atypical pricing. But in fact, they are just making it difficult for the models, and tricking the customers into thinking they are getting a good deal.

I use the lovense overlay, and only one set of prices can be displayed at a time. I'm not going to let them pay less than half of what my other sites pay to activate lovense. So I dropped them.

It's stupid that pretty much every other token site pays out 5 cents per token, but bongacams has to be "different". Bongacams is screwing themselves with this awkward token payout system. They would have a lot more models willing to broadcast on their site if they matched the industry standard.

Yes!! I totally agree. I thought I was the only one who thought it was super low and the traffic is garbage too unless you start off doing well right away on Sunday afternoons/evenings when the week restarts for their pay period. But yeah if you decide to get online later in the week or whatever, it's like you have NO chance to make anything or place in the bonus contest with organic traffic. I feel so bad having to tell my members most of what they paid for for their tokens is not even going to me, but the site. I don't know what they are using that money for but it is obviously not being used resourcefully and they don't seem to give a shit about taking care of their models or the fact that a lot of us do this for a living. I've tried messaging support telling them no members are going to want to pay their ridiculous prices if we have to keep increasing them for our shows but they haven't done anything about it yet and I'm guessing they won't at all. If it seems the site has gone to hell and continues to be a waste of my time I will bring all my fans to another site. This is not a joke for me and many others, this is how we pay our bills and rent.

You are NOT doing anything to take care of your models or our income so don't even bother replying to my comment. I have tried reaching out to support so many times and all the time it is just the same thing with "oh I have no control over that, that is upper managements' decision" Even with a stupid promotional period (which hasn't come up in almost a year) you STILL have a super low pay out rate so don't be surprised if your models and customers flock elsewhere

Lol, very true, and even then there are very few tippers. When I was on the site, I always had 6000+ viewers, and sat at the top of their homepage. I work 6-10 hours a week, and placed in the top 10 of their weekly contests. Even still, I was making pennies. Traffic doesn't mean much when there is so little money moving through the site.

I think the issue with pricing can be solved quite easily. You just need to set the prices for your services twice as high, and your income won’t decrease at all. It’s just like exchange rates — when you travel to Europe or Japan, the rate might be different, but the value of money remains the same 😊

I tried that for a while...But when you can only have one set of prices on the lovense overlay, that complicates things.

I disabled the overlay and just used on-site menus, but removing the overlay from my video dramatically reduced tips on my other sites. So much, that I decided it was more profitable to drop bongacams, rather than reduce tips on other sites.

Yes obviously I understand that.......but that's not fair to the members and there's no way in hell they are going to want to pay that much for shows and token requests. They hardly wanted to pay my asking prices as it was (which were not all that much to begin with anyways) People there are so cheap and raising the prices is not the solution at all. The solution is for the site to stop being greedy and hoarding the cash for themselves or whatever the hell they are doing with everyone's money. Other sites understand that without models you have NOTHING so if bonga isn't going to change their ridiculous awful payouts and start taking care of their models who work hard everyday, then the whole site is going to suffer but whatever. Some people just have to learn the hard way I guess lol

The percentage reduction changed about 2 years ago, maybe longer.

I worked on bongos for a very long time. I remember when you got $50 for 1000 tokens if your profile was filled out enough. I left there when they did a "trick" that was revealed after some time.

The site conducted a survey "would you mind if tokens for users were half the price, but you would receive the same amount"
It was around Black Friday or something like that.
That was the moment when everyone raised their prices x2, But it seemed normal, since the token was twice cheaper.
After some time, complaints began to come from users about the increase in prices, and that it was too expensive for them.
Personally, I figured out the situation after 4 months The promotion is gone, but the payouts remain 25 per 1000 tokens.
The site kept silent about this, as if it were not their problem.
Many models have moved on to other sites, starting with multi-streaming.
Of the "old" models, there are a few that are top-notch, but many of them have dual broadcasts.
After that, bongo had cuts, and from the best support service, which responded in a few minutes in chat mode It became a 3-4 hour wait for a small problem.
I think the golden age is over. I think it happened after the project spy cams.
It brought them good traffic and probably a lot of income that they weren't willing to give up. So now models get $25 per 1000 tokens and bongo is slowly dying.

I think you can try a few streams and then just replace the site.

I know how hard it is to give up something familiar, but it was the best decision I made back then. I think I replaced it with striachat or camsoda. But my main site was different, so I didn't notice the difference.

Wow I had no idea any of that was going on. Maybe it was before my time on bonga. Thank you so much for letting me know all that information. I am on a couple other sites but what has kept me on Bonga was the bonus contests that I would sometimes get into top 15 and receive at least $100 in a bonus where in other sites I wasn't able to place in a bonus contest at all. I also had good fans on there that would spoil me a lot but they did not come online very often at all. It is weird, it seems the only time I would see a lot of my big tippers come on was when I was doing well to begin with at the start of the week and as long as that kept going, more and more of my fans would show up. But if i hadn't started off high in tips when the new week started, it was like there was no way I could catch up and the whole week would suck with traffic and tokens. Almost like if you didn't start off strong you couldn't finish the week strong. Maybe that's how all cam sites are and there is some algorithm I'm not familiar with. I was thinking of joining a third site but wasn't sure which was the best one to try out. I was on Chaturbate for a while and that site was pretty good to me but they permenantely banned me for stupid reasons.

Can you tell me more about the blocking on chaturbate, maybe I missed your post. If the blocking was not justified, I can advise you on how to fight for your rights.
I remember my top 100 on bong, I only managed to get $100 once. Most of the time I got $50 or more often $15.
Although I could earn quite a good amount .
They had an unfair algorithm for a long time with 100 points for every hour, so the model that actually made the most money was not in 1st place.
The top model left her account on pause, but with an open chat And went to bed lol. At the time, its members left tips every hour of about 1,000 tokens. And she got $1,000 at the end of the week. Maybe this was changed due to a lot of complaints from models, I'm not sure. But I remember that this algorithm worked for a very long time.

Oh I didn't know you could do that? But maybe not anymore. Now they fine people and give them warnings if they are off their cameras too long or something or they themselves switch it to away mode. There is way too much micromanaging on that site especially since we are supposed to be self employed and I understand sites have rules but Bonga goes too far and I feel like they think we work for them rather than for ourselves.

With the CB ban, it was very strange. I got tipped a huge amount from a member I hadn't seen before and then the next day I was talking with a whole different member who I knew was a regular and he liked discussing bathroom shows and stuff like that and also liked to watch stuff like that. We didn't end up doing a show like that but we had in the past but on that day it was just talking about it. Then the next day I tried to log onto my account and I saw that I was banned (once again) and got an email saying it was permanent this time because of talking about bathroom stuff. I had gotten banned before for that and other things like if a member wanted something taboo or if certain words were used they would ban me but after a couple days they would reinstate my account. This time it was permanent though (it has been this way over a year) and no matter how many times I reached out to them, they wouldn't reinstate my account. I think it had something to do with the huge tip I got that day because maybe that drew attention to my account and CB took a closer look at my chats? I don't know. I know I broke rules and maybe I pushed it too far but I don't think a chat was all that bad especially when I was only trying to please the member but I guess they still don't want that.

Yes, Bonga has issued fines before. I remember how I got a fine for Instagram, although the users who spoke to me about it had it before. We knew each other before I started working for bong.I didn't care about you, it felt like the fines that the administrator was removing were a bonus for them.So they were interested in it.Although I can't be sure, so these are just my guesses.

Yes I saw that Chaturbate has a repeat offender ban. But I often did shows in the shower or in a bubble bath. Mostly they were private chats, but still. I haven't heard of anything like this being banned. Although if they indicated a reason related to toiletries, then it hardly concerns large tips.
You can try writing a post here in the chaturbate section, maybe it will help to attract attention.

Yes maybe I will try that, I wasn't sure if I should bother trying after a year of being banned but maybe it could be worth a try
