Has anybody ever worked for live jasmine? If so, what's it like and what's the pay like? I was thinking of maybe having an account on there also? Also does anyone know any other good paid sites apart from MFC? Thank you all for your help

I've never heard anything good about LJ. It's bad news all around.

Streamate, MFC, Chaturbate (if their support issue is resolved) are all good options for camsites. Clips4Sale and Extralunchmoney if you're looking for content sites.

LiveJasmin is a bad site according to some models I know, a low payout % and lots of re-calls.

I hear positive stories about CamContacts, It's relative easy to have it around, the free chat is only text, and does not cost a lot of effort for the model. Members must pay to see the model. According to those models the pvt's are longer and the members are of better quality then at LiveJasmin.

The model can set her own rate, the payout % is higher then on LJ, (up to 80% if the model did bring the member to CC, I know cases where models did bring their regulars to CC to have this high payout on a rate both model and member are satisfied with)

The typical rate is low compared to a MFC pvt, most are in the range of 1.50 to 2.00 a minute, but if you have long pvt's of a hour or so can you can still make good money (for the typical Romanian model that is, almost no USA models are there)

I very briefly worked on LJ...I didn't work enough to get paid out from them, I did it for about 2 days then they suspended my account because of something a guy said to me (can't even remember it was that stupid) & I just never logged back on. The guys were really rude in comparison to most mfc guys too.

I worked on Live Jasmin for about 2 weeks, maybe a bit more. It was terrible, in my opinion. First off, I'll just say I worked in the "Hot Flirt" section, so maybe in the nude section girls have more luck. The highest tip I ever got there was 30 cents, and the tips didn't come in often. You can set your own rate (of up to $4) for private chat, which has positives and negatives. On MFC, it's set to $4 for True Private and $3 for regular private, so every guy on there knows what they're going to have to pay before they even get in your room. On LJ, it's up to you, you can be cheap, or more expensive. But as soon as I put mine up to $3, I noticed a HUGE difference in how many privates I got. I had to keep it to $2.50/min, otherwise I wouldn't earn anything. The guys were fine for me, but you get more of them wanting you to watch their cam then you do on MFC. I've noticed on MFC you can actually establish a relationship with the members and have fun, and on LJ you know exactly what the guys are on there for, and that's it. You start up by earning 30% of your earnings, and have the possibility to earn up to 70%, but I only ever got to 35%. You have to be cheaper on there because the guys are cheaper, and the payouts suck. Once the two weeks were ended, all I had to show for it was $140 (And when I switched to MFC, my first week on there I made $800, without ever showing my tits or even having my sound on). This was during October16-31. And then I had to wait until November 10th, or the 20th (I really can't remember) to even get my paycheck (sent to payoneer, so I don't know what the delay is about). And that's what it's going to be like EVERY pay period, not just your first one on there. It's not very practical to have to wait so long until you even get your money when you have bills to pay. On the other hand, I love the layout on LiveJasmin, it's has a higher quality feel rather than MFC (which is why I originally went with them, and was so hesitant on MFC), the admins seem to give more of a shit than on MFC too. They contacted me about my camera, pulled me out of public chat, and tried to adjust my settings for me to get the most out of my camera. The customer service was awesome, too. Every time I had a question, I would get a fast and clear response. So, all that was fantastic. Everything else was terrible.

ANYWAYS, that's been my experience with them. Sorry for the huge long rant Hope this helps you out a bit!

On MFC, it's set to $4 for True Private and $3 for regular private, so every guy on there knows what they're going to have to pay before they even get in your room.

Just a note, CutiePootie, that's what models earn, NOT what members pay. Depending on the token packages available to members, the price ranges are:

$4.77 to $6 per minute for regular privates to members.
$6.32 to $8 per minute for true privates to members.

Once members open up the 900 token package, if they buy at that package and above, only, then tokens are 7.9xx cents per token (above the 900 package the numbers after the .9 part slightly decrease, but not enough to make a noticeable difference). At the 200 token package, they are 10 cents per token. No matter what, though, models earn 5 cents per token.

However, members tend to look at privates on MFC as more tokens and potential time over cost per minute in dollars (or at least I do, anyway). They know 300 tokens is 5 minutes for a regular private, for example.

So, since I don't do less than 15 minutes in private, I know I need at least 900 tokens on hand when I want to regular private. So I need at least $75 ready, basically. Out of that $75 that I pay, the model will earn $45. I do note the money, too, only because I check to make sure I have enough in my bank account to purchase said tokens and still survive until my next pay.

You also have to remember that members have limited transactions per day on MFC. So a new member will only have access to the 200 token package, and will only be able to buy that package a few times a day (4 maybe 5? It's been a while since I had that limit). Members with higher reward points can purchase more times per day, but no matter which token package they go for, it counts against that total transactions per day.

Oh, they changed it. It used to be a set number of transactions per day, now it appears to be total tokens purchased per day. For example, my account now says:

You are currently limited to purchasing 46650 tokens per day, and to a maximum of 466500 tokens that can be stored in your account at one time.

Unless this is a change only for those with higher reward points. I remember my account used to say 8 transactions per day.

As a note, I will probably never have enough money to purchase 46650 tokens in one day. :lol:

I have seen many posts on LiveJasmin. There was ONE model who posted somewhere on this board (I think it was Ask-a-Model or General Camming Discussion) that she had a good experience. Every other model who posted about her own experience with LJ has said bad things about it.

It is possible to have a good experience with them, but it is incredibly unlikely.

Of course, it makes sense, since the entire setup for LJ is to get members to go into private chat. Tips are more of a bonus. Most private shows on LJ cost the member $2 a minute, and I've paid up to $4 a minute, but I have never paid more than that and have never seen a price set any higher.

One thing I've noticed many models do is simulcast through both MFC and LJ. I don't know how legit that is, or if that's frowned-upon. It seems like something that a model could consider, though, like, say they could use MFC as a primary, and set their LJ profile behind the "Member Chat" paywall. That way, while they're working for tips on MFC, they might still catch a few bucks on LJ by people who are curious enough to look in on the Member Chat. Of course, I'm just a member, so I'm not sure of how well the logistics of that would work.

I have known a few women who split-cam. It's not very common and it's allowed by MFC (not sure about LJ's rules), but considering how much it must distract from the main earning site, the secondary site should be pulling in a lot of money to compensate.

No, what I mean, or at least what I think I'm seeing, is that the models aren't really working the LJ room, but instead just have it on behind the Member Chat paywall, and they actively work the MFC chat instead. So, they're not asking for anything from LJ members. They're just catching the people willing to pay the credits per minute for Member Chat access.

People are rude, and so blatant and upfront, and there is no atmosphere. It's basically like sitting in the window in the red light district, hoping someone will come in for a private. They rarely do. You will make SHIT pay. I tried to broadcast solo while my gf and I had a few weeks apart, and literally like 1 person came into my room every 5 min, because there is so much competition. I gave up doing solo broadcasting there after a couple of tries.

thanks....i've always seen LJ as a "glass booth site", but have never had such an articulate confirmation of it from your side of the cam :thumbleft:

That's ridiculous! LJ isn't even a site based on building relationships to the degree as the other sites.

I'm so bummed to hear all this. I guess I'm going to switch sites because I haven't made much and I was trying to be patient, but there really are some total jerks on that site.
