OBS problem, stream shows bitrate info instead of video

So, I did do a quick search in the forums and couldn't find a thread with my particular issue. I've used OBS just fine with twitch and I've followed the Chaturbate specific setup tutorial. Every time I hit stream on OBS, the video on Chaturbate is showing all the technical fancy shmancy IT related information. Bitrate, resolution, FPS, room is public, etc.

Is that just normal and I have to use OBS to see my camera? If so that's not very convenient for interacting with chat and also setting up the shot with the webcam. I cant imagine that's normal but, any help is appreciated.

yes, that's just how it works on chaturbate. Use dual monitors or one big monitor with enough room to see both windows clearly. I actually find it very helpful to have the stream health information right there since it's easy to see when you're having connection issues, frame drop, etc.

Hey thank you! I thought I had done something wrong. I just did a show with OBS, it was, complicated since I only have one monitor but the benefits of OBS outweigh that.

Haha, I have always used a massive 46 inch LED tv as my gaming display so I dont think ill ever go back. The only reason split screening OBS and chaturbate isnt good enough for me is cuz then I need a 3rd window open for my...well, sexual motivation for the show. I used a laptop but porn just isnt the same without sound. (roomates suck)

Same here. I use my chromebook for sexual motivation too. I used to have a triple monitor, but I have a smaller surface now. I want to mount my 42" tv monitor I use for chat (poor eyesight) on my wall, and have two 32" monitors. one for obs and the other for fuck whatever.

Show idea. You could maybe do a watch porn with your members? Dudes love jerking off together. But other performers might have issues you using their content, so i recommend using yours (with models you have signed release forms). luckily with obs you can have your desktop sounds play through the stream, so it's not a silent wank off for everyone.

That's actually a great idea! Holy shit, yah I was able to get desktop audio going for music. I see you're not on Chaturbate but im fairly certain I wouldnt, be able to show anything on the stream unfortunately. Maybe the sound will be enough to make the show work.

Actually there is a simple method that most models I know use with OBS. Just go to "file" - always on top. Resize OBS to a vertical window and just put it over the stats window on the left.

You can still chat and have the preview (there's at least a 6 or 7 seconds difference between your preview and what people see, normal latency)

Another question on discord without creating a new thread, is there a way to easily switch between Chaturbate streamkey and my twitch stream key? Like having to profiles without having to set everything up everytime I want to switch between Twitch and Chaturbate?

In the top menu bar on OBS click on profile > new and you can set up another profile with a different stream key. Just don't forget to click the profile tab again before streaming and make sure you're on the right one.

If you have the OBS Video settings for base canvas resolution and output resolution both set to 1920x1080, is there a reason that CB would display the 1920x1080 window inside of a larger 4:3 aspect ratio canvas? Is that a defect in the client-side settings or something that gets set on the server?

Your cam is set for 1920x1080 as well ? (in scenes, video source, resolution and fps : not "default" but personalized)

CB should display what you have on your control screen in OBS i think. You tried to control by using both flash and html5 ?

In my test setup there is no cam at all. I am direct-feeding an MP4 video file with native 1920x1080 resolution using an OBS "Media" Source. Both OBS Preview and OBS Program show a perfect 16:9 aspect ratio canvas that is exactly and entirely filled by the 1920x1080 MP4 video.

I can try flash, but when I view other models with HTML5 I do not have this problem, so I doubt it is an HTML5 vs Flash issue on the client browser.
