Something I'm nomming on right now - Lunch for a week!
You'll need:
Pack of stew beef
Brown rice
Can o green beans - or whatever canned veggie you want
Whatever seasoning you want
Small amount of flour
How to make it: (this is me trying to remember as well as I can, I made this from scratch)
Throw the beef in a skillet with your choice of seasonings. I used garlic olive oil, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Brown the beef, then set aside. Do not drain or rinse - you'll want that yummy juice for later.
Get out a saucepan, and add rice and water according to the package's instructions - it's 1 cup of one of them, 1.5 of the other, but I can't remember which. Boil till most of the water's gone, then open the can of veggies and dump it in with the liquid. Boil for a bit, then add the beef and a cup or two of water and more pepper. Slowly add flour, one tablespoon at a time, until the liquid has a thin gravy-like consistency. Turn down heat and simmer. It's done when the rice is tender.
Portion out into storage containers with a wooden spoon. Three wooden-spoonfuls=one serving. You will have many. Freeze each serving, and bring one to work with you every day. It'll thaw in the fridge. Nuke it for 30 seconds at a time, stirring thoroughly each time the microwave stops, until warmed to your preferred temperature.
