Hi! So I have been carefully and vigorously doing research on cam modeling, and have come to the decision it is something I really REALLY want to give a go at for a multitude of reasons. I've been looking at articles written by cam girls, videos, message boards, etc.

I've chosen to try MFC and have a few questions.

Cam scores - how exactly do they work?

How do you build confidence/play into your character confidently? For me I am mostly nervous because of my body type, because I'm not a skinny girl. I worry that will impact my success.

I have not yet finished my application (I got accepted) because I'm not yet sure how to go about starting my first time on camera. I don't want to appear boring. How do I dress? What should I be doing my very first time on camera? Should I make a plan/game/etc or should I just go with the flow? How long should my first session be? What should I be expecting?

How do you go about setting your prices? Could you give me an example? I don't want to be charging too much or too less for something.

I know I probably have more questions but cannot think of them atm :p
Thank you in advance for your answers, advice, and support!

Cam scores - how exactly do they work? -- They are based off tokens per hour. The average camscore is 1000. Higher the cam score= higher placement on the homepage= more traffic (There are camscore calculations in the models only section ^_^)

How do you build confidence/play into your character confidently? Curvy, big booty latina camgirl here! With confidence, I just sorta faked it until I made it etc. It took me time to find which angles were my most flattering, which make up made me feel hotter, what I wanted my persona to be like. These things just developed with me the more I cammed. I too was worried that me not being skinny would cause me to fail..but I've been doing quite well on camming/clips income for 2 years! It is possible and being thin never stopped me. It has it's own set of challenges, so I won't say being curvy is always easy on mfc-- but the market is there all it takes is being the best, funnest version of you and what you bring to the table.

How do I dress? What should I be doing my very first time on camera? Should I make a plan/game/etc or should I just go with the flow? How long should my first session be? What should I be expecting? I recommend bright colors in general, although this isn't a rule, just something I do to look eye-catching in the preview. Men like an array of different looks, so I can't tell you what would work best. Some girls wear more casual clothing, some wear fancy lingerie--choose what suits the vibe you want to give! As for how long your first session is, as a new MFC model you have 8 hours I believe of having "new model" status which is super crucial. I split my sessions by 2 hours and came online at the same time each night. Once the status wore off, I cam for 3-6 hours etc. Expect 1. Guys trying to 'advise' you on how to cam and pretending they know how the industry works 2. Possibly trolls as they're everywhere 3. Sometimes no one will talk and it could feel awkward (I just dance/talk to myself in times like these)

What should I be doing my very first time on camera? Should I make a plan/game/etc or should I just go with the flow?
I recommend having something set up of some sort. I use a cheap plastic wheel I got from amazon and charge 33tkns per spin. Guys sometimes aren't sure about new girls, so I wanted to make something reasonably priced with instant gratification with prizes like a naked pic, flashes, dances, shots etc. It's also important to go with the flow too! Getting too wrapped up in plans and how you expect your room to flow can get you frustrated or annoyed (It happens to me when I overplan) I think they key here is to do a bit of both. What you do for your first time on cam is completely up to you. I didn't get naked for a few weeks. Just decide what you do feel comfortable with and go from there!

How do you go about setting your prices? Could you give me an example? As a new girl, most will recommend keeping prices reasonable but not tooo low. A good starting point in my opinion would be 300-600 tokens for 1 article of clothing off

I hope these tips helped! If you get verified there is a plethora of awesome threads on everything you ever thought possible camming-related. Hope to see you on the other side ^_^

Yup the token per hour thing

No worries! Tons of guys like women with more meat on their bones (When I started camming I was close to 200). No matter your body type you'll likely be nervous your first night on cam. Don't worry though, they'll find it cute. Slowly, but surely you'll get more confident.

Whatever "character type" you plan on being...let it at least mostly display your personality, otherwise you will burn out. Dress however your most comfortable. Many do different things games and such...I never really did, but I've never been into games really, so maybe try it and see if it's your thing. Countdowns to nakedness or other shows are pretty popular too. I'm not sure what you mean by session...I'd just be on till it slows down or tiredness/hunger sets in. Keep in mind though my advice as well as others will be based on our own tastes. Each of us will have found things that work for us, but may not for you.

For instance, I'm a brat domme. I did countdowns for years up until a few months ago, when I started only doing tips for flashes and groups/privates. Everyone who comes to my room, comes by knowing my room is a fairly quiet chill environment, and that due to it bores me...it's very unlikely I'll push when it comes to tips. If a troll comes by most know (or find out quickly) that I only tend to ban if I'm either bored or the troll really annoys my room. Subs like me because I enjoy being mean to people especially when paid for it, and dom-types seem to think I'm adorable since I'm generally a nice person, and have huge doey eyes as I tell someone how much of a loser he is. So yay for win-wins!

This all of course is how I have done things, but I don't really know much of how you do your thang. This you'll have to find out for yourself. Sorry I can't help there.

How do you go about setting your prices? Could you give me an example? I don't want to be charging too much or too less for something.

There's a pricing thread in the model's only section if you get verified you can read it. This will actually likely answer most if not fall for you anyway. :handgestures-salute:
