Netflix is cracking down on VPNs

I'd be surprised if they went to too much effort with this. I think they have to appear as if they give a shit, but really, they know that by cracking down on this they risk losing customers, and I'd be surprised if they genuinely gave a shit that people in the UK were accessing obscure Brazilian day-time soaps for example. Whether people are using VPNs or not, the important thing (for them) is that those people are pumping money in to Netflix each month.

Some VPN users are already getting this from Netflix

Well that sucks. I do remember them "cracking down" on VPNs a while ago though, and within a few days the VPN sites had a work-around. I'm hoping this will be a similar thing. Netflix can then say to distributors that they're doing all they can, without losing customers.

I don't think they will lose that many customers over this, although it was a really nice perk.
