AmberCutie's Forum
An adult community for cam models and members to discuss all the things!

My cam model is struggling getting views and tokens in general.

Exactly! Indespensible.

In all seriousness I think that it’s such a wide and diverse crowd that visit us. And I just don’t believe there is one or even two cookie cutter ways to success in amateur porn. Fans are all over the board in what they like sexually.
Oh god, yes!! As a user, I have seen so much diversity in what appears to be quite successful for models and much of it is not to my liking at all. No condemnation from me, it just goes to show how diverse the human race (and its arousal triggers) is.

Now if only everyone could accept that in all walks of life (and beyond only sexual preferences).

Yes it makes life almost so complex it’s unimaginable. So it’s easier to try and act like things are black and white, for our own minds. But they’re not black and white. Life is complex. People are complex.

Just last night I made the mistake of mentioning culling some outfits for donations to community theaters, they can cut up and reconstruct whatever I have into new pieces for their plays.

"oh you should totally do another goth show, first!" From the only guy in 11 years who has ever requested a goth show from me and the only person who tipped in earnest the one night I actually did it with others throwing nickels in support of me, not the show itself. I put in a lot of effort, a lot of time doing my makeup, setting the scene and the very first thing this dude asked me when he did see me all decked out was "Why are you mad?" As if he had never seen the Addams Family.

For me, that kind of content isn't worth it because it is so niche and I have a small enough circle as is that alienating future users is a really bad move for me to make. But for someone else? It could be their bread, bacon and butter. I just have a more preppy, girl next door vibe going on to pull it off.

Edit: If I had 600 guys asking me to do it, then it would be worth it for me.

Because if it's one thing goth's are known / stereotyped for is being super up beat and bubbly 😂

I wanted to face palm through the floor into the basement on that one.

but that would have broken character so you just sat in disdain

Oops. Can only speak for myself but I never deliberately stray into the Ask-a-Model sub-forum. I inevitably end up here via the right hand "latest posts" panel and often don't realise until days later that it was an ask a model post.
So much this. I wish Amber could enable a little pop-up that said, "You are about to post to the Ask-A-Model forum. Are you sure you want to continue" for anyone that doesn't have the Cam Model tag. I also just click the New Posts button, Ctrl-Click on anything that look interesting, and it is not at all obvious what forum you are actually posting to!

The category is literally listed at the very end. Just read it. That's like saying you need a pop up to read a bio.

I didn't say it wasn't there, I said it wasn't obvious. With the font color, my screen resolution, and bad eyes it is easy to miss. Given the number of members that answer questions here I am not the only one. 🤷‍♂️

Between the “Your model” posts, and some of the shitty advice in this thread…*cringe*

Anyway...OP, it's been a week since your last post in the thread. Have you linked your model friend/favorite model (See, that's better than folks calling her "your model") to this forum yet?

Perhaps the one thing lost from the past that mattered more than anything else when it came to women displaying charms for profits, you had to buy the whole magazine and be disappointed at the side spreads to be enthused by the main show...or vice versa. It seems no matter what we do they always want the opposite and to be diametrically opposed in that very specific way is brain bending.

Yes, let’s have Amber put in more work than she already does with the forum to implement a feature that would more than likely be widely disregarded anyway.

I don’t think members should be barred or anything from answering in the Ask-A-Model section of the forum, but I think some people (not all) interject with very unhelpful advice or advice that would only benefit them as a member, but would hurt the cam model’s room. Those people would still probably post even with a pop up.

Again, I think some members can actually provide useful help/information. Like when it comes to the more technical stuff. For example, I’m not technologically inclined. I’ve never used OBS, and with all overlays and stuff, I’d be very overwhelmed if I was to use it and would need help. In that situation, yes, I’d like help from other models, but I’d also welcome advice from members, since even though it pertains to camming, you don’t need to be a cam model or live streamer to understand how it works and be able to help out a newb such as myself.

But, it should be common sense that when it comes to the behind the scenes minutiae or how to efficiently run a cam room, the most effective advice given would be from those who actually have experience with it.

Thanks for the gentle introduction to the forum. I have to admit I did stick my (short thick) neck out a bit with my first substantive post so fair dos. Here's some more free advice care of phatGPT: The freemium business model can be effective for attracting users, but success depends on careful monetization strategies and providing sufficient value to convert free users into paying customers.

1000% agree. Being on the producer side of the cam is way different than consuming it.

I think whether a post is explicitly placed in “Ask-A-Model” or not, if the poster is asking for cam modeling advice, the responding should be left to the cam models. I’m not sure why that’s a perpetual source of confusion here.

I feel like we shouldn’t need a special label in large font in order to deduce when we’re not the right person to give modeling advice.

At what point would you suggest that a moderator engage with someone in the room? 1. when they arrive 2. after they start tipping to encourage more 3. if they are sitting and doing nothing 4 only for people that come frequently 5. when they tip big or 6. when or when not?

Why you asking a barely there tipper? Ask a model about moderators. They're total shit. Most sit on no tokens and just silence and power trip and often recycle tokens that a model tips them if they are actually tipping and I don't care who tries to at me about this that isn't a model but moderators are WORTHLESS. One of the most successful models on CB has never used moderators. Her people are that respectful.

7. a mod is just a normal user, no different to anyone else, so just behave like a normal user.

Not sure why I'm being attacked here. From what I can see, the only post I made in this thread suggested that moderators were indeed redundant for the most part and that the best thing to do was to be supportive and to tip. To call someone a "barely there tipper" without knowing how much they actually tip just seems unnecessary. And the comment on recycling tokens is lost on me. I didn't even know that was a thing that models and moderators did.

It's not your place to do any of that stuff. When I said "keep the chat going in the room", I meant like a normal person. Don't start welcoming members, thanking them and posting those awful "tip her" gifs. Just be normal.

Since mods can silence/ban someone from your stream how would you know if the mod is a bad actor ? Not until the damage was done I guess and you notice a fav viewer isn't on your stream anymore. 🤔

Thanks for the opionion. Yes, I did mean to ask the models this question. I think that the model herself has a say in what her moderator should do. They do exist, so some models must see some value.

Some girls prefer to have a moderator, some don't.. the girl I have accepted being a moderator for, we have very clear boundaries before I do ANYTHING for her.. it's as simple as, I will silence anyone inappropiate on any of the sites, if she is not faster than me, or let them know if something they request is on her tip menu and she is reading another chat.. that's it..

Vixxen was reminding models to ask fellow models (like this thread in the Ask A Model section) about such things, not some average user like yourself.
