is this normal to have all these models trying to add you as a friend??? its all of a sudden happening a lot during a show

I get this almost every day. It's basically just hobby wankers, as they've been called on these forums. Exhibitionist guys who signed up as broadcasters but don't treat streaming like a job. They'll often stick around in my chat, sometimes very persistently trying to "charm" me for free content and services. They cannot spend their earned tokens even if they wanted to. I wish they'd stop. :-(

It definitely annoyed me that time I had a fellow Stripchat model (A guy) PMing me, telling me to come check him out. That shit ain't cool, and IMO Stripchat should give models the option to block model accounts from their room anyway.

I get what you're saying about other models in your rooms.
But… even if we block models from coming to your room, it does not stop models from having user accounts and still being able to enter your room.



Also…

In order for a model to be able to contact you, they first need to send you a friend request.
If you don't want to communicate with other models, then don't accept their friend requests.


If you do accept the friend request and then change your mind about being connected to that model,
you can still block the model through the message chat. Please see the below example.

Thank you clarifying about PMs and blocking. I still like the idea of having the ability to auto-mute model accounts as we can with gray accounts or unregistered users. I don't believe many of these users would go through the trouble of creating a second user account, and even if they did it would be better to deal with because we could potentially convert those accounts into sales.

I want to emphasize I don't believe this is Stripchat's fault; these types of users exist on all freemium cam sites, and it's actually worse on most other sites. I'm thankful Stripchat locks C2C behind exclusive private. From my experience, Stripchat does do a good job of penalizing model accounts who spam/solicit viewers after reporting, even if we have to initially deal with them.

Hi, Charlie. Yes, we are aware of this. This is how it works on MyFreeCams. We are given the option to block model accounts from our rooms if we’d like, and we are aware that models can still visit our rooms from an MFC premium account…or as a guest or basic. That’s totally fine, by the way…because a lot of models are cool af! I’m just saying that it’s nice for models to have that option. I feel that, as a model, it’s important to me for cam sites to give us options.

*And I apologize…I don’t intend to be obnoxious by - yet again - bringing up MFC in a thread that’s supposed to be about SC. I’m so glad that we have you and Chloe on this forum. If I were to give SC another shot, it’d be because of you two…because I’m so impressed with the way you guys listen to our suggestions, and continue to work towards site improvements. THANK YOU.

Here is what i mentioned in the other thread somewhere, the kind of thing I have been seeing a lot of recently from guys trying to get models to view them while live - hobby wankers:
I am used to seeing this thing on CB but on SC I have to admit it was always something I was happy not to see, and I am sure so were models but it seems to be happening more and more in the last months.
