So, this game is a really weird combo of Assassin's Creed and an Arkham game. Weird, but good. Also, dying is bad, cause whichever orc just killed you will level up. But, in them leveling up, they will kill other Orc Captains. Or be killed by them. And you die a lot. Or at least, I have, so far. It's an interesting mechanic. Though, seriously, you dirty alarm setter-offers, quit it. You will get horribly mobbed while trying to stop an orc from setting off an alarm in a stronghold.

I got this yesterday but only got to play it for 20 minutes. :(

I'm really looking forward to sinking more time into it. The gameplay mechanics are quite interesting.

This game is so good, even though I am still so bad at Arkham style combat. I've moved several orcs up to level 20, which seems to be the limit at this point in the game. It looks like there are several rows behind the last one I can see/move around to. I've killed enough Captains to get several runes, at least, so I'm getting better at killing them. Then they go and put 3 Captains in one place, and 20 underlings. I've died to underlings so much I'm pretty sure one Captain has killed them all as they try to get promoted. Which levels up that Captain. so... yeah. It gets complicated. But I love it. Especially now I can mount the big cats if I let one out of it's cage. And if I'm killed while on it, whoever killed me, next time I see them, they'll taunt me that I don't have my cat anymore, or about how they killed me.

I played a bunch of this over the weekend. The way all the game mechanics fit together is great. And I haven't even gotten to a lot of it yet (e.g., branding)

It's a ton of fun just to run around the map picking fights or stealthily setting off traps from afar just to see how orcs react to you and to each other. :)

I've restarted, cause being bad at the beginning is a big detriment. I had the whole back row and some of the one in front of it up to level 20. Still a bit of stacking all the Captains at some strongholds, but they're much easier when they're level 2 or 3. I swear I've killed at least 6 at the western most stronghold which sits at the base of a respawn tower, but there are at least 5 more in there, I am pretty sure. And the worst is at level 20, cause he's both a crossbow wielder, and a combat master, so he's incredibly annoying.

Also, if for some reason, a Captain's head is on a spike in the Sauron's Army screen, and stays that way for a good while... beware. He's not actually dead. Confused me for so long, til he showed up scarred, and quite alive.

Yeah, I have a feeling that I'm going to end up in the same situation. :(

Good to know!

I'm enjoying this so far, although I haven't personally had time to play it yet...Sadface. Been watching people stream it on Twitch the last couple nights, very cool.

Is it just me, or do orcs have really bad short-term memories? They give up really fast if you're out of sight. Or if you just climb up anywhere where there's no ladder.

I've learned to climb up to the top of the nearest tower whenever my health gets low. Bonus: as soon as they forget about me, I can drop down and stealth-attack them. I've killed captains by just repeatedly climbing the same tower and jumping down on them again and again. LOL.
