hi,

Google Chrome - works best and highly recommended.

I strongly disagree.Google chrome contains so called "call home" code which means google knows what you are doing... they know what websites you visit and what stuff you clicked.I wouldn't even be surprised if they target ads (eg google adsense) via this way which is a violation of the privacy law.The websites you visit are nobody business besides your own.I recommend to NEVER use chroome unless you don't mind google is spying

Google does not think I am a perv because I use chrome. They think I am a perv because of what I use Google to search for.

Awesomesauce! I'll definitely be trying this out tomorrow! :D

If Chrome is recommended, then SRWare Iron will work better for MFC. It does not contain the reporting features of Chrome. The downside of using a Chrome-based browser is that you won't have access to Firefox addons like NoScript, which are pretty much essential for browsing in an adult or gaming environment.

OMG I AM SO EXCITED I CAN FINALLY USE MY MAC with out having to run windows!! BEST THING EVER~

The menus and windows that you access while using the web browser version are pretty! However, I noticed a startling issue. We have a limit on bans! 500!

The good news is that the friend list and ban list are in alphabetical order and look a little easier to deal with than the software version. Unfortunately, the web version is in beta, and banning or turning off group/pvt are not currently working.

I may give this a shot today just to see what it's like.

So Amber's testing it out as we speak. So far it's OK, apart from a couple of bugs that Amber will be telling MFC about. One bug that we're kinda wondering if other models trying it out are having is the sound dropping out. It doesn't go away completely, just fades out and comes back a couple of seconds later. Are any of you trying the web based client or any model you know of who's trying it out having the same problem?

I had a similar issue with mine, but i couldn't adjust my mic levels in my flash/webcam settings. someone told me my gain was down and it was cutting out, so i'm not sure if it was a combination of the two things or what.

i also couldnt close the flash settings window after i opened it so it was sitting there on top of my camfeed the whole time. lol! but damn it was nice to use my mac to broadcast!!! soon I'll be able to ban people with one click... omg, it's going to be soooo nice. i'm gonna ban EVERYONE!

well.. maybe not everyone. but alot of ppl!!

I couldn't use it! :(. When the accept window came up, I checked everything, && then it loaded for like one nanosecond, then kept trying to load, cause my C910 kept flashing the lights on && off... But it just said loading the whole time. I have FF 6, && updated Flash. IDK what the problem is with it.

try Chrome or SRWare Iron, FF was only updated to 6 in the last week or so and maybe something has changed to make it incompatible now.

This is so awesome. Makes me want to buy a Mac.

Totally rofled at Internet Explorer: does not work.

Nearly all bugs have been fixed and there are very cool features on the browser interface. I have worked with AdminKevin on the beta testing and he's been wonderful!

Chrome is the only browser I've used. All good.

I was able to use it with Chrome, but I hate Chrome. I also kept closing IM convos on accident, cause I'm so used to the software. Oops. Lol. The interface is pretty though!

Has ANYONE tried to use their phone for this??? I am veryyy curious about this. I have a Droid 2, so I don't have a front facing cam, but my hubby has an Incredible 2, so I want to try it out to see if it works. :). I will report back later.

If anyone is or isn't, please let me know, && also let me know what kind of phone please.

lol, we just got it on non-windows computers and already the phone question?

Not trying to put down, just made me laugh. ^.^

In principle, if it's just html/js and flash, as it seems to be, then there isn't a huge reason it can't run on phones with no alterations at all.
Of course, that relies on the phone browser having a recent flash, and that flash being able to read the camera.

I used this on my mac and they guys kept saying I was having sound issues for a bit. I had to turn my mic option up all the way for it to work properly. I thought it was because I was using the logitech pro 9000 on my mac (and i've heard those work best on windows anyways) or if it was the site though. I'm glad they came up with though, I really don't like MFCing from my hubby's PC. His PC is huge and falling apart- so not cool.

Can you seriously load MFC on your phone? Just curious if I am misunderstanding, I've never heard of someone using their phone to MFC.

It works great on a Mac. The only problem I've had is using a third party software such as Manycam. For some reason Manycam makes my cam VERY fuzzy on my Mac.

If anyone with a Mac has a third party software that works, PLEASE let me know. I cant change my color saturation on my cam b/c of this. :crybaby:

There is no way I could force myself to go back to the software now. I am in love with the web browser version and I encourage others to try it out. So many of the kinks are already worked out. There are still a couple of bugs/errors that I'm working with AdminKevin to figure out and fix, as well as a few small features that are missing, but overall it's a very smooth experience.

During your first use, here are a few things to know:

*Your PM experience will be different. So far, there is no way to make a separate window for PMs, they will all show as separate tabs at the top of your window. You will not be able to see your public chat while you are in a PM. I've already expressed concern to the Admin about this, and while he may be able to fix this in the future, it's currently working as intended. You'll also hear a little ding when a new PM tab pops up. Then the user's name will flash when new text comes in on that PM window.

*The topic box is much larger and easier to use than you're used to! Also you don't have to hit "edit" anymore. There is only a "set" button, as you can edit your topic text simply by clicking in the box.

*Turning off your chat and cam will no longer reset your token total on the screen. Closing the entire window, however, will.

*The ignore function now works great! Instead of the ignored member's text being invisible to just you as the model, it's now invisible to everyone! Ignored member can watch your video and read the chat, but if he tries to type, it disappears into oblivion. :D

*The options panel is smaller and quicker to load and use now. It is a small blue box that takes focus when you open it, but you'll still be able to see a dimmed version of your chat window behind it. It has all the same features as the software version, but the bonus is that it at least remembers your font color settings. No more accidental red model font! :thumbleft:

*The members may point out that your connection speed says "average." Seems to be a current bug that I've forgotten to tell the Admin about, but it really doesn't reflect your connection speed nor your cam quality.

Some things I've informed the Admin about but haven't received word on yet:

*Right now we aren't getting notifications in chat if we receive a new MFC mail, nor do we get a notification in our PM window if our friend logged off.

*Right now we can't click on emotes to enlarge them.

*The last time I checked, if we type an apostrophe, it turns out as a strange character to the members in chat.

By the way, the audio issue I was having was due to Logitech's stupid software resetting my "rightsound" option to ON. NEVER use rightsound. It's wrongsound, fer sure.

Wow Amber, Thank you!
That list made me feel not so scared anymore :)

Has anyone been using it with a Mac OS? Curious if there are any bugs with it. :-D
