Hey Guys,

Does it matter to you how a model's menu is laid out? Clumped together paragraph style, a list of items that are easily read, menus that rotate out single items at a time?

Just curious. Thanks, V.

I always like to read the menus, the order doesn't really matter to me but I do find that a list layout (1 item per line) seems easier to read than when they are in a block like a paragraph, multiple items per line.

{Edit to add: I do understand that the way CB has recently condensed tip menus in the chat to just a few lines, even though you can click to expand, might make it better to use multiple items per line to get more of the menu visible}

Sometimes I think that having the items listed in ascending order of token value is logical, but I also wonder if perhaps some viewers stop reading any further when they get to the point that exceeds what they're usually willing to drop in one hit?

Here's where I get iffy -- if a menu has 30 lines of items and it's a listicle, who isn't going to nope out of that when it pushes 30 lines of chat off?

Agree. The rotation style would probably work best, but even then, busy chat might still push it up the page before everything got a view.

I can really see the conflict - too many items and it may not be viewed, too few and you get hit with many requests.

I have it set to on entry everyone gets a menu sent to them. Maybe I should just let it hang like that and stop posting the menu in chat? Also seems counter-intuitive. But I do have separators between items on the paragraph style. And everything is a clickable link.

I pretty much agree with Rod on this, except I do like seeing them in order from lowest to highest token price.

I’m just one of those people that likes things numerically or alphabetically organized. Can’t really explain it. In this case, numerically seems to make sense.

I'm also a numerically-driven/focused person when it comes to stuff like this. I have 50 tokens, what costs 50 tokens? Don't make me look through a disjointed menu to find out what that item is.

Hey, hey...question for you. I don't usually invoke you for stuff like this, but is there a way to format the menu a bit better, like one would with a word document? Left, Center, Right..

I agree but I don't like tip menus filled with junk you know what I mean? Like they thought of 4 things and then thought they needed to fill all the boxes so they put a bunch of misc things like smile cheer lick lips etc etc

Wow. That's...like, look. We get a lot of tip notes that say things like "I want to tip you but not for that." "How much for lipstick?" "What about pantyhose?" "Do you just ever lick your lips and close your eyes?" Man I'd tip you all day long for an eye fucking of epic proportion so on and so on.

It's nice to incorporate non-nude, non-explicit items into a menu. You have to grease our wheels too...or you're gonna get that super robotic ten-yard stare from a lot of models.

When I said filled I meant filled filled like the menu comes up and that's all you see until you click.

Wouldn't that be nice or even a step further like a little table.

Maybe a compromise would be to set it up so that a couple of menu items appeared in the chat at regular intervals, along with a clickable link to the full menu, to send it to anyone who wanted to see it again.
(that could already exist?).
You could let the app choose which couple of menu items to display at random, or customize it so it showed the model's choice (eg the most popular items, the ones you'd like to encourage, etc)

Unfortunately, we really don't get to pick the way that goes down, but I understand what you're saying.

There's an option to display only one line at a time, if I do that option then there's a strong chance it's only going to show the things that are least enticing for someone wanting hardcore stuff.

An open table for a model to format it herself would be amazing.

There's also the issue of the frequency of notices -- is three minutes between notices too much? Too little? What about 10? Et al.

There's some models I've seen that post full menu on entrance and then have recurring menu notices with just the command /menu (or whatever) to share to viewers that they can call the menu themselves that way.

Another option could also be a relative long time between full menu shown but with the addition of the one line command prompt to remind people..

So many ways to do it. Some post full menu in bio. And only rotate command, or CTA to check bio (but that wouldn't be ideal for those on desktop due to scrolling away from the feed)

I haven't figured it out myself yet, but theoretically I do enjoy a more "clean" "non spammy" chat. However that's not necessarily best from an income perspective, because some viewers/tippers can be lazy or tech illiterate 😅 they seem to prefer things to be spelled out to them. Especially when turned on (?) 🤔 I think it's hard to find a way that suits 100% of people and then I tend to go what would work best for the majority.

To be more ontopic from a viewer side of things.. When I view cams I do like a really elaborate menu, but I don't like it to be spammed (often) in chat. I prefer to get a notification with the command so I can check it out myself on my own/time it myself. But I don't fap when I watch cams, so that might be a factor.

I would love it if the menu could sit in a separate tab to the chat, available to open anytime, keeping it off the chat all together.

Chat / PM / Users/ Tip Menu

Doesn't answer your question though but threw in my two cents anyway.

Yes, and also, I think organizing it that way generally tends to sorts things in order from least to most explicit/difficult, too. Maybe not on purpose, but if the model sets prices based on level of difficulty or nudity, etc, a numerical sort probably ends up sorting loosely by that criteria as well.

(I’m big on sorting and organizing stuff, so I may be a bit more fixated on this than others are.)

You can do that. I do it all the time on CB. I was testing font colors and menu configurations the entire time I was posting here and camming. :)

I meant here, like on the chat window itself! Every room would come with one more tab there to see their menu without it being displayed on the chat. Does that make sense?

One can dream, right?

Ooooh yes!!!! I see, yes that would be great. I was still on the broadcaster side of the equation on that, not the viewer. Thanks for explaining.
